Newbie Question

I am a first-timer with isxeq2. I used MacroQuest for a while and this does appear to be a huge step forward.

The problem I am having is with my Inquisitor. I am grouping him with a guardian and want to have him to melee and spell attack as well as heal. When I go to the combat tab, nothing appears to be click-able.

I am positive the is a stupid user error, but I have no idea of where to go to figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify a mis statement in my previous post. It is the 'class' tab and not the 'combat' tab. I am starting to think it is something wrong with my configuration. I have had problems with turning 'auto follow' on... it also won't toggle the check box.

Also, when ever I attempt to enter a value in any % or distance field the value automatically switches to "NU" and IS complains that is is unparseable. It does not look like I can enter any values into those fields?

Ideas?

Yea, that's all very odd.

Try a few different video resolutions and see what happens. Also, perhaps try a character with the Default UI and see if that helps.

Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately no luck.

I have tried several different resolutions and the default UI settings. I have also tried several different classes all of which display the same characteristics.

Is there anything out of game that could be causing problems? Video Card settings? Anything like that?

If it helps, I can run goharvest with no problems.

Well, A complete rebuild of the IS everquest2 directory did the trick. Now I just have to figure out what all the setting do :) .

Any Inqy's out there want to provide a short guide? *wink*

Another newbie question:

How do I remove the text overlay on the top left of the screen? The one that lists the FPS, System/Process/Texture Memory?

Ctrl + Alt + M to remove the system resources (note press and hold Control + Alt and then press M)

Ctrl + Alt + F to remove the fps display.

If you want to get rid of them forever, right click the Inner Space Tray Icon and select configuration.

Where it says "Startup Sequences", under Session, select Startup. In the new window that pops up remove the FPS and Memory Display start ups and you'll never see them again.

tbh , I like having those up on startup.

it has happened that Innerspace hasn't loaded correctly periodically..

I use those as indication that all is working.

Unable to toggle boxes is due to one of two things:

1. The xml file that stores the UI data is corrupt and needs to be deleted.

2. The xml file that stores the UI data is read only or the IS process doesn't have permisions to it.

3. There are multiple UI data xml files of the same name in your script tree. (I'm told this is an old bug that is fixed in IS now)
