Newcomer To Scripting & Programming

I've been looking to get into programming for a little bit now and after coming across InnerSpace & ISXEVE I've found a personal practical application for it. The problem is I'm a complete new comer to programming and scripting thus no experience or knowledge regarding these two areas.

If anyone has any suggestions, links or advice they could offer to get into both scripting and programming for ISXEVE for a complete new comer then I'd be much obliged. I've got the time, patience and will to learn all I need are the methods to do so. I'll be doing my own research however I'm certain there are people within the community who've already made the mistakes themselves and could help jumpstart my efforts.

Thanks,
Voland

Welcome to the Wonderful world of Programming

I just started using lavishscript myself and have found it fairly similar to python in some regards. Now everyone learns to program differently and I can only assume you want to jump right into scripting for EVE so your best bet is to check out some of the scripts on the forum.

Now if you want the somewhat longer way but will give you a better reference then I suggest looking at some python. Mostly to get into programming and to learn the various techniques. As well since python is a fairly object driven language it'll be easier for you to understand how lavishscript works.
I recommend looking at:

It's by far the best way to learn python.

You could also learn Java but that would take a lot longer :p

Anyway just ask questions and keep experimenting and always keep
