Ogre Harvest Help On Tle :d?

I poked around the wiki for a bit but didn't really get much information about how to properly use Ogre Harvest bot.

It said I have to use Ogre Map in conjunction with Ogre Harvest? I was poking around with this and couldn't get desired results from using it.

I assume the running method is to set "waypoints" with Ogre Map using F2, saving them with meaning names, for "areas of interest" so Ogre Harvest can detect new nodes upon entering those AOI's?

Are there "best practices" guides or documentation anywhere on how to not be easily seen as a harvesting bot ?

How do people manage low levels harvesting in aggro-high level zones?

Are there tips/tricks for what areas/zones are best to harvest-bot for the different tiers?


I was going to try and setup some secondary accounts specifically with the intent of harvesting resources (in case they get nabbed). Using these I had planned to just let them run about their lives while I'm at work every day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ! I just want to use Ogre Craft as much as possible to be self sufficient, but the lack of resources is murdering me and having my toons sit there while one or two are crafting is a little bit of a waste imo!

I'm not sure you are going to get much help in setting up an AFK Harvesting bot on an overly populated and highly monitored server.

I agree that harvest botting is probably not a great idea.

Hmmmmm, well I was hoping there was instances some people knew about that this would be beneficial towards, or not very highly trafficed zones. On some games where bots are used for harvesting there are "rest" tactics, or "deviation" settings to make it not look so automated.

I ran 6 harvesting bots in GW2 for over a year without incident.

Keep in mind to that more than likely if one account gets banned all of them with the same ip will as well.
