Version 1.005 is now up. It adds (fixes?) the ability to have maps to navigate.

If your guild hall is not bot-friendly, please try the following. (NOTE: If your guild hall is bot-friendly with everything in 1 room, I recommend you do NOT create a map).
Load ogre mapper ( ogre map ).
Walk anywhere you want the bot to go. On anything you can walk through or on top of, walk on top of it (merchants, tables). Anything you can't walk through, just get close to it without humping it to death (IE: clipboards).
Run the route you want the bot to take 1 or 2 times.
Save and exit the mapper.

Then go ahead and try. You do NOT need to add any custom named points. (In fact, it doesn't affect anything if you do, or not). I may add support for named points later (it would really only help in situations where part of the crafting items are so far away they aren't even on radar/actor search range). If things are THAT far away.. you really need a better spot to craft :p

You may notice a bit of extra spam in the console, if anything looks odd, please report it with copy/pastes.

Wow!!!

Kannkor,

I'm not a crafter, so I like the new crafting bot FAR more than any crafter could. That's amazing!! Thank you so much! It's so good I think I teared up a bit at one point with it screaming through the massive amounts of arrows I make, without missing a beat.

Thanks! I LOVE your work! :)

Dooby

p.s. If you're taking wishes, I'm still right there on aggro control and making ranger smart AE work.

I really need the copy/paste of anything in the console.

While the error that appears on the screen is it can't find the recipe, but that can be caused by other things.

I'll go reset my crafter ... again.. and make an alchy this time..

Should be fixed with the next update...

Just an FYI to everyone, when you have any errors, take screen shots of your journal window and the bot window, and any errors or console information.

I could have fixed this in 5 minutes with that information, rather than waiting for me to reset a crafter and level them up.

I've been able to fix a dozen or so issues from tlh4me because he screen shots everything.

the problem is not the problem, since most are solving the problem is that there are many errors and problems, then as I say it is stable and functional?

The problems have largely been the consistent inconsistencies with SOE's development methodology and their inability to consistently use the same or even a correct dictionary from time time; therefore I say it is stable and functional

Movement problems

I am experiencing problems with the movement of my toon about my guild hall crafting area. While there are no specific errors in the log, here is what I am noticing:

It is pretty much a straight shot between the various crafting NPCs the bot interacts with and the workstation I need to use (provisioner). Starting out, my toon seems to move to the required npcs without difficulty. However, every time it must then move to the workstation, it "backs up" all the way to a wall. Then it runs forward to the workstation.

When it arrives at the workstation, it always runs right though it so that it winds up standing pretty much in the middle of the workstation. Seems to not mind however (other than the obvious botting visual) and completes the crafts. Runs back fine to the NPCs, but often when it must return to the workstation, it again backs up, and unfortuately, almost always winds up getting itself into a "stuck" situation.

So my question is: should I set up my toons viewpoint, run/walk state, etc. a certain way before I start crafting? If not, how can i help you debug the "back up" behavior, because that seems to be what eventually causes the toon to get itself stuck.

It's your in-game options.
What is happening is, it's doing a face command, which you have set to change the view or something, so your character doesn't turn, then he hits the forward key, which is moving you backwards.

In EQ2 do the following:
EQ2-> Options -> Controls
Hit the ADvanced button in the top right.
[Free Look Controls] --> Avatar Relative
UNCHECK everything else.
Hit Apply.

Crafting window doesnt close

Something I meant to mention and kept forgetting. The crafting window itself remains open once the combines are completed or writs finished. I am using Fetish Nightfall as a UI. Should the window close at the end? If so, let me know if you need anything else from me.

Nah, I've been leaving it open. It contains all the recipe data, and if it's closed for too long of a period, the cache of recipe data can be removed from the client.

So I'm curious, the way my crafting stations are set up in relation to the writ giver seems to be too great of a distance (>50.0 M). How come I can start the writs at the giver, the bot can run to the station that is >50.M but not run back?

Can I manually edit a file to extend the range of the bot so that it picks up the writ giver on completion?

There isn't any "distance" set per say, as long as it's still within radar range, and if it's around 50m, that's not far at all. I set mine up at 90m apart just to test and it worked fine. What (copy/paste) error message are you getting?

This:
Writ # 1 of 10
Nearest point on path is located: 151.687973 away. This is further than we can run ( 50.000000 )..
Start/End points NOT mapped, tried to move onto the path and it's saying no hops..
18:20:59: OgreCraftError: Unable to make it to: ( Tradeskill Rush Order Agent ).

I don't have paths set that I know of. This occurs only after she's finished the writ quest and tries to run back to the quest giver.

Also, this is in the largest Commonland Guild Hall, if that matters.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
Now it makes sense... The NavLib's default off path navigation is 50m. You have them 150 meters apart with no walls/doors etc?

I can expose those defaults to the UI and make them user editable.

Yes they are basically spread out in one of the side rooms, between the columns; looks like an actual crafting room. There isn't any walls or anything they get stuck on and when the writ starts the bot has zero problems running to the correct station and starting.

Mine had zero problems initially. Now they won't turn in the writs. They will go grab them and craft them, but I have to turn them in manually. I am not sure what changed, but it isn't working anymore. I moved things around and still, no dice. The table is probably 20-25 meters from the rush order npc now.

There is nothing blocking her way, but this is what is in the console:

Off the mapped area and collision detected to the nearest mapped point - Can't run there.
Start/End points NOT mapped, tried to move onto the path and it's saying no hops..
14:01:38: OgreCraftError: Unable to make it to: ( Tradeskill Rush Order Agent ).

Level 71 Writs

71 Woodworker 3,3
71 Weaponsmith 3,3

I ran ISXOgre:Repatch and made sure these didn't exist already as an update so I think they are just missing.

I swore mine worked before as well but wasn't 100% sure on the Tailor since her crafting station is much further away. The forge is very close to the writ giver and there's no issues that I've noticed yet.

73 Weaponsmith 3,3
71 Sage 3,3

I did see mention to making all T8 writs 3,3 but since the actual levels do not exist I'm not sure if these would get skipped - which is why i am posting them.

I got them, I just haven't pushed the files, so you can ignore any T8 unless it's NOT 3,3.

Interesting.. I'll play with it some more.

It looks like you have some of your area mapped, but not others.. Either map the entire area, or delete the map. Don't have part mapped and other parts not.

Never mind. I figured it out. I have display tables in front of my NPCs and for some reason it sees them as obstacles. I packed them all away for now and it works like a charm again.

Well, I lied. Sometimes she will turn them in and sometimes not. Sometimes she will make all the components and sometimes she just stops.

Well lying about it won't help! ... :)

Are you sure you don't have a map?

Do the following...
Inside of your guild hall, type this into the console:
echo ${Zone}
It'll come up with a name.. something like: qey_guildhall_tier1
Navigate to the following directory..
Innerspace\Scripts\EQ2OgreCommon\ZoneFiles\
See if you can find that file. If so, try renaming it or deleting it. Then close craft and try again. I'll try re-arranging my guild hall a bit to test some things. If any of you have a private guild hall where I can create a level 1 toon and come craft, I can do that also... but I won't do it in a real guild..

Ok, did that. No map. I will try on my desktop later. May be some latency issues on the laptop. Not sure.

FYI, provisioner level 70 section of writ file is a bit screwy. A couple unneeded entries (70, 74) and some entries out of order at end of section (71, 75, 79) apparently are causing bot to request counts via popup. Got rid of extra entries and put all in proper order, seems to have fixed problem.

Were you going to add the set up recipes where performing an imbued recipe automatically adds the regular item required by the recipe and makes it first?

Level 69 Provisioner Black-Eye Chai

From what it reads in the quest journal and from the ogre console you would expect the error to be fixed by:

<Setting Name="a glass of Iced Black Eye Chai">Iced Black-Eye Chai</Setting>

but in fact you have to use:

<Setting Name="a glass of Iced Black-Eye Chai">Iced Black-Eye Chai</Setting>

After patching to OgreCraft 1.006, when trying to perform level 77 provisioner writ, get the following error at the start of each writ:

OgreCraftError: Unknown writ request: I need to complete the work order as requested.

However, the bot does perform the writ. So seems like a spurious error message.

It's just an extra debug message incase things go wrong, it captures silly lines like that.. I removed it from the next version (for that specific message).

I just set up ogre and am trying to get the lay of the land. I tried to do a writ in both Halas, and in Neriak (my guild is still too young to own a guild hall... hence wanting to do writs) and in both places it says

No LSO or XML file found. Creating a new file.
Writ # 1 of 10
18:42:36 OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( Tradeskill Rush Order Agent)

Does this mean OgreCraft does not work in the cities or do I have to map it out? The funny thing is I am starting almost on top of the writ giver.

I haven't looked at a crafting instance like that yet. Although you'll have to map it out almost for sure. The fact that you're standing on top of him, and getting that error is quite odd.. Although, it's very possible I'm checking for a guild writ agent specifically.

Recipe book purchases at level 10/20

So you hit 19, the low level action stops and grats you for reaching 9/19. You go to the crafting guy who auto levels you to 10/20. You come back in to continue on, the toon runs to buy recipes and does not buy 10 / 20 but buys 11-19 or 21-29. This is more problematic at 20 as it fails the first writ because it cant find the item to make as it is in the 20 book.

I'm not sure I can fix the level 20 issue, because I have no way of seeing if you already have scribed it. So for now, you have to buy and scribe the level 20 recipe manually.

I may consider doing something like, if it buys the level 21 book, it'll buy the level 20 one also.

LOS Issue

Our trade skill area was reworked a little bit so the NPC's are in a more accessible area. The work order clipboard was placed right next to the Rush order agent on a column which would represent the center of the trade skill area. In some cases the bot has a LOS issue because it's on the opposite side of the column. I did try to fix this by mapping out the entire area (after deleting the zone file that existed) as well as tried with a blank zone file.

Questions:

1. If I was to have work order clip boards placed around the entire column (we'll say 4 of them) would this help to resolve any LOS issue that the bot is experiencing since it would go to the closest one?

2. Would it be better to place work order clipboards on the wall directly behind the trade skill tables?

3. Does having multiple clipboards pose any issues?

If having multiple clipboards doesn't fix the issue another thing that may help with the LOS issue is putting in a home point to where the bot always returns provided it runs into some type of LOS issue.

Thanks in advance.

1) Should help
2) Shouldn't matter
3) No
4) I'll add in the ability to force the bot to a named point which would fix it.

Just means it's looking for that file, then it doesn't find one. The creating new file is bad wording.. it's just creating a slot for it in memory, which is blank in this case.

I haven't had a chance to look into this nav yet.

Right on.

I did find the map file it was looking for I believe in EQ2bot folders somewhere while digging through everything. Is it worth copying it over to the zone file folder in Ogre and seeing if anything changes? I'd try it now, but I'm not at home.

No, that would probably cause more issues than anything. The maps are completely different.

Mycroft... I just wanted to let you know i have used the myprices check box for ogre craft and it works.

One thing I did notice is that it doesn't separate what kind of crafter the "_myprices" file is for. I was just running two different toons on one machine.... I ran my prices for toon 1, then then my prices for toon 2. I started the myprices saved file in ogre craft on toon 2, worked perfectly. When I went to run the file on toon 1, it loaded the file that was wrote for toon 2. Btw toon 1 & 2 are different ts classes.

What I am trying to say (probably not well) is that in traditional craft your my prices is separated by ts class, but it is not so in ogre. Not that its a HUGE deal... you just have to make sure that you run your craft file before running a different myprices craft list. The only reason I noticed is because in the previous example toon 1 crashed out in the middle of making the list and I went to just restart it.

I don't have any. So you can name the file anything you want. The list will show all recipes.
If you want, use: class_filename.xml
I may add in a filter later on. It would be..

If class_ exists, check if it's yours. If so show. If no class_ exists, show.

uhh.. why? If you are wanting to level after level 20, do writs. Pristine does nothing for you. So it's faster to do 30 of the same item, than 30 different items (because of no switching shit).

Until someone can make a case where this would be useful, not happening.

Yep - they upped the XP gain from writs massively in an attempt to smooth out tradeskill levelling. Some crafters got enough new recipes to level fast with the bonus, while others only got a few. You get very minor XP gain from making items, and a comparitive huge boost on writ completion.

Add Entire Level. or Add Entire Search window.

Used for leveling crafter after 20.

Thanks

Just a comment on this - with the removal of pristine first time bonuses this is actually counter productive or writ grinding for leveling as they increased the amount of xp gained on writs to balance out the leveling across classes.
