Please do not post the same question in multiple forums sections. It makes following a discussion annoying.

I haven't even stepped foot into the zone. As it is the toughest zone in the expansion (much more so that Vulak's was in ToV) it will take time for me to acquire the gear I need to be able to complete it.

As for a strat, when one is available and someone wants to post it it will be here: https://www.isxgames.com/f/threads/altar-of-malice-heroic-instances.7376/

I did that zone once. Added some timers to a tester build of mine, and haven't went back in. For myself, I do not believe that zone has any piece of gear that I want. And the last fight is extremely stupid. I'm not spending 5-8 killing 1 mob while mezzing another, to then have the fight start.

All that I did was add some timers. I can probably push this out live when I get time to remove the tester tags on it etc, but I have zero plans of doing anything else for this zone. It takes a relatively large amount of time, for 0 reward for me.

lol I was trying to get answers from both you guys dealing with ogre and bj scripts and with the rest of the community, I didn't mean for it to be annoying in any way, I was just curious. There are some worth while items in the zone and I've been trying, with no success, to complete it.
I know there are some who complete this zone and I was hoping to get a strat or atleast some understanding as to what I need to do to complete it

No desire for this wrist? http://u.eq2wire.com/item/index/2125795534

Eh, why would I give up groupwide cb/pot procs for an 84cb/pot bump for one. To keep it simple lets just use a mage group each with http://u.eq2wire.com/item/index/811788450 and http://u.eq2wire.com/item/index/1069059723 since they're both pretty easily to obtain. That would be 48cb/54pot x6 or 288cb/324pot for every member in the group. Lets say you keep the 48cb on all six and replace the potency wrist on everybody to get the 84cb/pot +health/healing. That would give everybody the 288cb + 84cb (6xscouts in raid) and 84pot (6xmages in raid) = 372cb/84pot each. That would net a 240pot lose for every member of the group while gaining 84cb each. Is gaining a group total of 504cb worth losing 1440pot?

What am I missing... (and its early so my math could be wrong)

Healing Received is nice for tanks, and then the maths above assumes that Pot/cb has same benefits to all in a group. The net difference between a T1 scout gaining the extra CB versus a fighter losing the pot would be noticeable.

Without going really deep into the math its probably not a simple thing to work out. Too many variables

I could see using it on my tank simply because the lack of great wrists and +healing/hp but beyond that, for me anyways, the need of the many out weight the need of one.

Yea, Eyedea pretty much explained my reasoning for not wanting it. I may consider it on a tank, but I'd still be giving up 324 potency (or 288 cb) to the group. I'd need to test how healing received works with wards. Because that could very well motivate me to get it on my tank.

Speaking in terms of raiding, the incoming damage on tanks seems to not be a real big deal, but the pulsing damage gets brutal. So having the extra potency on priests specifically means every single heal/ward/reactive/hot they cast gets a benefit, vs your tank getting a bit more of it.

So far I haven't been able to value this item worth getting.
If it's worse, or equal to what I have now, why waste the time/effort to get it. If it's marginally better, same reason.
But if it is "better" than the time/effort becomes worth while.

I posted the strat in the appropriate forum. For me it was more about epeen then anything else (I like to hang it over my fellow boxers heads :p).
