Decided to ask more questions as a result of above said deaths =p.
anyways, im a returning player just got my group to 100 thanks to the guys suggesting zones to level in under the radar. Thank you guys. Anyways, so im lost as to how to get into the content in this expac. My groups gear is basically the lvl 100 Mastercrafted Armor and Jewlery with some legendary i bought off broker. As you can probably tell im getting completely wrecked on boss fights from just the melee. My tank has 2.8m in combat with bolster running and im being 1 shot by 3-5m crushes, Rest of group is 1m-1.7m.

where to go from here? I basically know next to nothing about this expansion last I played/raided was Skyshrine and PoP content. So as you can see im struggling to gain traction.

Start with the easier zones;

Kralet Penumbra - Rise to Power / Temple of Ill Seen / Submerged Depths.

These are very entry level heroics for the expac. Pull carefully, and watch out as a lot of mobs have frontals or scripts.

https://www.isxgames.com/f/threads/terrors-of-thalumbra-heroic-instances-guide.7706/ has some info which may be helpful on the fights.

2.8mil HP seems quite low HP for fully buffed tank too. Make sure you've made it as defensive as possible in terms of AA and such, and are rotating your temp buffs as much as possible. If you havent played since Skyshrine time, tanking has taken a big turn since then. You have to actively try be defensive now, and it's not just pull everything and faceroll your abilities (Not until overly geared anyway).

It's from using ProfitUI.
I'll add support for it "later" - I don't use profit so i'm waiting for someone who uses profit to let me teamviewer in to code up a change for it.

Ahhhh! ok TYVM for the answer buddy. Will disable the ui for the rest of the group in mean time and deal with it on tank.

My toons were at the same level as yours before, here is what I am doing...

I ran the solo quests for them (solo, not boxed, the quests are easy). They give slight gear upgrades over Mastercrafted, but not really worth it. You will want the end ring the signature quest gives, so you are going to want to do the quests eventually. http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Terrors_of_Thalumbra_Timeline
The 2x access quest is in there somewhere too

Rise to Power / Temple of Ill Seen - good
Stygian Threshold - you can probably get some of the first named if you can't get them all
I had trouble with Submerged Depths at the start, you might want to wait a bit on it

You are going to want to get lots of the Queen's Coin(?) from the daily quests drop. There is a vendor selling gear which will provide some very good upgrades for you. I'm thinking of the neck/wrist/wrist groupwide CB/Pot buff items. Getting these items on all your toons will let you do a lot more zones much easier

I'd also recommend getting a crafter to the max crafting factions so you can make the green adorns.

There is a remove adornment ability now they added in, your class trainers have it.

Someone on here asked about how to improve low DPS and Cheesy made a great post on good adornment choices. There is a lot of other great info in there

Awesome, Ty cheesy/classic for the helpful information . Ill start doing the quest lines tonight then. Yea i tried Stygian Threshold but i tell ya it was a no go lol could only kill trash with my low of hp not sure what my dps needs to be at but entire group was only pushing 16-22m ish. will definitely have to get the green adorning done. Am I right to assume Rise to power is probably the easiest so far to attempt?

Don't worry it will come. We all started out wondering how it was going to go. Trust me, so much fun when you finally get going. Good advise by ClassicCoke!

Temple of Ill-Seen was actually easier for me than Rise to Power.

My DPS was right around that area when I started. Learn the zones, make sure you get all the coins you can, get everyone to 350 AAs, and tweak your cast stacks as you run them. Its been a decent fun start for me.

Also, if you are subscribed, make sure when you run the zones you finish loyalty daily quest as well. You can buy plat with the rewards which will make buying the coin items even easier if you are low on cash.
