Radarx Post On Eq2 Forums

I would like to point out a couple of things I stated here on the forums before today:

From http://www.isxgames.com/f/threads/race-to-trakanon-event-server.7901/ (posted July 9, 2016)
This policy is for your own protection. Frankly, if you are planning to play on this server, I would very strongly suggest that you not use ANY sort of third-party software, including innerspace or ismods.
And, from http://www.isxgames.com/f/threads/information-and-updates-from-june-23.7882/ (posted June 27, 2016)
I have come to believe that the EQ2 developers wanted to make a strong statement to the greater community of players that neither hacking nor boxing would be tolerated on the new "Race to Trakanon" server. (In other words, there will be a zero-tolerance policy with regard to ANY third-party software on this new server.)
and
[Note: This decision is for your own benefit. DBG will have a zero-tolerance policy on new event servers, especially those which involve racing and/or competition between players for glory.]

Please note that in these postings I was very careful to refer specifically to the "Race to Trakanon" or "new event servers" so that people would not think that any of these new actions, etc. would apply to any other servers of any type.

Thanks for the replies. I understand you didn't mean classic live servers. I was getting opinion on whether TLE was in any way a grey area for botting.

Well, all servers are a grey area and COULD get you banned. It's just that apparently event servers are almost a guaranteed way to get yourself banned if you're doing things obvious and out of line there (they've even posted that they are monitoring individuals very closely when they even come close to the top of the leaderboard).

Funny thing is even though ISXEQ2 is disabled on RTT, you STILL have people complaining that they spotted bots. Really does highlight that in a lot of the cases where people THINK they see a bot, there actually isn't a bot apparently.

There are still bots trust me.they cannot detect screen reading programs.as i been using the one I bought long ago to control 4 toons on R T T and no ban.

Yea, I imagine that they have specific signatures that they search for that flags applications they know about. If it's not too well known you might never have issues. But, I bet if it becomes popular they might add it to their list of things that their system searches for in memory.

Not that I don't believe it, but Eddie is Gixx right? Eg, the guy that goes around the official forums constantly bringing up bots and mentioning ISXEQ2 (like here: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/turn-on-bot-control-on-life-live.571226/ ). I don't know why he constantly wants to bring attention to it, but I just don't know if I believe he really has 4 toons on RTT, that he's really progressing on it at all, and they aren't noticing him. They say they are monitoring people very closely - personally watching people on the leaderboard - and any screen reading program would seem even MORE unnatural than ISXEQ2 bots would - I would think any observation would detect that pretty easily.

They are even hitting people using G15 keyboard macros to spam on a bunch of boxes if they get reported by people for boxing in contested areas. Penalty is characters deleted, all rewards deleted, and suspension.

Quick question just to be sure. Even though isx is installed on my system, if I play on Trakanon without loading the software I'm Ok, right? I'm wondering because I had a character suspended and deleted just because I had used isx to load the game; I thought since isx wasn't functional that we couldn't both anyway and it wouldn't be detected but I was wrong. So before I created a new character I want to make sure I'll be Ok. Thanks!

You should not have ISX*** loaded. You should not even have Innerspace running. Close it all down. Launch the game through the launchpad.

I'm honestly not absolutely sure; however, I don't think it matters if Innerspace or ISXEQ2 are *installed* on your computer. The important thing is that innerspace not be *running* on your computer when you play on the new event server.

Basically, if you're going to play on "Race to Trakanon", you should right-click and exit InnerSpace, and then play EverQuest 2 from the patcher as a regular player.

I played to 10 on a couple of accounts. As the other guys said, just ensure that you have exited Innerspace, and then open eq2 the old fashioned way, thru the DBG launchpad, you'll be fine.
