Pretty sure that's a feature of Innerspace, not ISX. Check the Lavish pages:

I think it's the same as WinEQ2 also:

But basically setup a bind key and hit it to record.

also, last I heard, due to unpopularity and lack of demand, there are bugs in the recording feature and it may not work at all anymore.

ive looked through lavish forums and nothing there for how it works or controls or anythin

i see the settings tab in innerspace but their is no option to adjust the hotkey

This is an InnerSpace issue and has absolutely nothing to do with ISXEQ2. You will need to ask your question on their forums or send Lax an email with your questions.
