Runs fine outside of ISX, but I get "LaunchPad was unable to connect." when I run via ISX

I'm trying to launch via ISX, but I'm consistently getting this error message:

LaunchPad was unable to connect. Please check the network connection or try again later. If the problem persists, please visit http://www.soe.com/help for assistance.
(4-404)

If I launch outside of ISX, it works fine.

Any suggestions? I tried searching the site, but got way too many hits on threads that looked like they were totally unrelated to my problem.

You followed these instructions exactly, right? http://www.isxgames.com/isxvg/Setup_Step1.html

From where did you download/install Vanguard?

If nothing works you could install Teamviewer and then email me at amadeusmq@yahoo.com with your information and I can take a look at it. I typically get to it late at night, so you'll need to lave the computer on and teamviewer running.

I should have made clear I've been using it with ISX for quite some time, and everything's worked just fine. It only stopped working recently, but still works fine on my wife's PC.

I'm trying to remember, but it seems like there was something I installed recently that was asking me if I wanted to turn on Windows Firewall as well. I said no, because we have a Firewall on our router. I've also installed a couple of other games - Aion and TERA - to try out with my wife.

Should I go back through all the instructions in the link you provided? I don't remember if that included any instructions on ports and such...

Also, ISX starts up fine, and it patches fine, and I can alternate between downloading the Test Patches and not just fine.
