Scorcher

I have a well geared team (pot3 for all but leg/bp on most (some have pot 3/leg/bp)).
I can manually kill Scorcher most of the time (70%ish, give or take) (pain the the ass, lotsa work, pretty stressful, not very fun, lol)

If I use Bj and Kannkor to try and do it:

BJ: Wipe every time. Group runs outta steam/hp, around ~75% into fight.
Kannkor: doesn't work. Group stands still and gets pwnd. Wipe every time

So what am I missing? I'm still learning to use Ogre and BJ (only been at it a few months). What's the key to using BJ for Scorcher? Is it my class makeup? Cast stack? What? lol

Group is:

SK (1.25m HP buffed)
Dirge
Warden (680 Pot)
Inquis (550 Pot)
Coercer
Swashy

I can sub Mystic for Warden if needed.
I can sub Assy for Swashy if needed. Even single target, my swash dishes out some good deeps, so I speculate this isn't the issue.

I had a very similar problem trying to use BJ or Kannkor scripts.

To be fair my team in not that well geared and i am yet to kill Scorcher.
BJ Scripts run but i get the same eventual death around 80%.

I am not 100% sure but i think the BJ scripts turn off Grind options or maybe it is limited raid options.
Anyway one of them seemed to be turned off, when i turned it back on the group went into motion but not much more success for me.

I even tried to kill him by pushing myself under a pillar on the bridge, but the Mana drain is mental and the damage seems to be a fair bit higher.

So it looks like getting everyone to group on the tank and manually running him around to avoid the flames is currently the best option.

Scorcher is a challenging fight. Both to run when you aren't geared the best and to code.

I have that fight listed as Semi-Auto on my website because some human interaction may be required to complete the fight. Almost all of my scripts (there are a few exceptions) will turn off OgreBot Grind Options because Ogre Grind Options and BJ Movement would be fighting each other for encounter movement.

For this particular fight, I would recommend what you suggested and run it manually. Getting it dead first pull 100% of the time would be the best time saver, which is why we bot in the first place right?

BJ and I found a bug where it would prevent some of my grind/raid code from being run. In short, it wasn't really either of our faults (or both of ours)... Naming something the same, so depending on the order of how things were run, something would be overwritten that we needed to determine things. So if mine is literally doing nothing, it's probably this case. We should have it resolved in the near future, so you'll have the option of either.

What I found was very helpful to do is if your using a warden with group dp.. is to use it when the group has to travel a far way threw the fire..cause id say 95% of the time its the fire that gets you. so what I do it let the ogrebot control every toon of mine even tank using the grind options on for ogre to do the script.. and make a group dp mcp button and when you see your toons gotta travel really far in the fire hit it! give that a try..

This fight is a trainwreck. I can get him down to 20-30%, but then I wipe. Does anything else change at 25%? It might be time based. The fire doesn't kill me, it seems his Auto Attack gets nasty towards the end of the fight.

Group:
Guard (18000-22000 mit, depending on temp buffs)
Warden
Mystic
Coercer
Ranger
Dirge

The group puts out 6-8M DPS on most fights. They are well geared and my healers are in full heal mode.

Any other hints/ideas?

Have you tried it since I updated the script a couple of months ago? My script works 100% of the time for me and other people I have talked to are able to kill it when they couldn't manually.

yes, your scripts are crazy good, in general. For Scorcher, it isn't working so well. I'll try again. I suspect it is my warden or Mystic's healing.

I'll tweak it and then try again.

BJs works for me fine. It's all about timeing stoneskins and DP. Spirt tap as well.

Guard
Warden
Mystic
Dirge
Coercer
Ranger or brig

I have tried solo healer warden(fail) but mystic debuffs seem way too necessary when I don't have them set to ID I wipe if I do set them to ID I one pull.

I'll try the ID. But, I got him down today, using BJ Script (thanks)!

I run it manually with SK, Defiler, Inq, Coercer, Brig, Dirge.

Make sure that all your debuffs are in the cast stacks for each character.
Have everyone on max follow so the blindnmess isn't an issue.
User a spelltimer window (DrumsUI) so you can roll through your stoneskins, DPs etc on your tank as and when.
Don't move until necessary, and always move the minimal amount you need to so cures can be done ASAP.

GL!

Scorcher is finally on farm! 1-pulled him today using BJ Scripts and some manual healing.

Thanks for the help/ideas.

Was feeling lazy today so tried Scorcher with BJs script. Set camp spot and clicked set up using the UI popup. Tank ran in, rest of group just stood where they were and did nothing. Did this multiple times until I gave up and did it manually. Have I got something set up wrong?

Did you have BJ Movement running on all sessions? All this script does is move the tank around. The rest are on OgreFollow on the tank with movement disabled.

Yes sir. Weird they didn't follow. I'll try again tomorrow maybe and report back.

How did you start the encounter? If you camp spotted everyone, that would be why they didn't move.

Yep, just figured that out myself heh. I must admit, I thought we had to camp spot every encounter with "set up for" as the command (as opposed to a couple in nexus). I know realise I was wrong =)

All of my Tears of Veeshan encounters have been switched over to three clicks and ready if you use the BJ Set Up For UI Selector.
