Today's patch is a forced patch even though you don't get the client mismatch warning.

Without patching you can not connect to zone servers.

Please treat today the same as if the client directed you to patch.

This is my first forced patch since I started using ISXEQ2. I downloaded and installed the new EverQuest2.exe and the EverQuest2.idb and still I get a failure notice and can't log into game. What am I doing wrong?

When it's a forced patch, you run "EQ2.exe" (which runs the patcher) and patch EQ2 like every other player.

ISXEQ2 will not work until I update it (and it will automatically patch itself when I finish it.)

just wondering where is the best area to watch for updates on this issue? .. after it's resolved, do we do the 8/16/2007 manual DL patching or do we still have t ouse the july patch?? . .

Thought this issue was something I did.. been trying t ofix it for past 3hrs, uninstalling and reinstalling a ton of stuff..hehe.. guess I should look here first, huh? =)

I'm assuming this was dirrected at me.. and all I have to say is that is all so funny. You think i'm geting the shakes? .. LOL! .. .I was simple stating that I didnt know where to look for updates on this issue. Never once said, "Hey, I'm a noob.. please hack the software.. I cant live without it!!" .. Nope, never did.

Not wanting to start a Flame fest, but simply was asking a question on "where" to look for updates, as this topic was allready created by someone else, NOT by myself. Either way, back to gaming in VG and EQ2 ..

There is no place to 'look' for updates other than hanging out on IRC sometimes.

You'll know it's updated when you do "ext isxeq2" and your extension patches itself.
