So I just got back after 3 years of not playing, I fire my dudes back up. Took them to Skyshire from 90-96 and now it seems Im stuck i've tried HCK and I got destroyed. I tried nexus and I could not get past the first name I have like 5% debt. I could use any tip I can get, if anyone can help thanks.

What's your gear looking like considering you've been gone for 3 years? If you're rocking anything less than 90+ level everything, you will get rocked in HKC. Also, in that zone, you can't pull tons of groups liike you can in other zones, they just hit too hard. If your gear is shot, head to Skyshrine and mentor down to I think 95 and you'll get pretty decent exp still and can pull loads of mobs. Or, up your gear to at least MC and HKC should be doable if you take your time.

My gear is all fabled from lvl 90, it was really good back then. I was able to do any x2 zone by myself with these grp but now these guys were hitting too hard, I think Im gonna do dailies and get ferrin to get that gear. I dont see any other way.

If there 96 then you can use the hand crafted AoM gear or master crafted if there 98. Doesn't SS give 0 xp after level 96, even when mentored down? You could do the AoM sig line that should yield a level or two and get you the mount and unadorn ability which well be handy. I reckon the quickest way would be take 1 toon at a time and get in a pug HKC xp group. Problem was there was such a huge jump in stats from COE to TOV.

ToV introduced a major gear adjustment, so anything pre-ToV is on a pretty steep curve of barely relevent(CoE gear) to utterly useless(everything else). Do as Rondo suggests, make some handcrafted gear, do the signature line on as many characters as you can stand, upgrade to mastercrafted, start working on the dino zones and go from there.

doing the sig on six toons at once isn't half bad tbh most of the updates go group wide so I would much rather do it on 6 at once. just when you get to the zone update you have to do the solo zones so you'll have to break group up into twos. also the gear you get is goning to be leaps and bounds better than you seem to have now.

Unless you are on a dead server or play in the middle of the night, I would not recommend running 6 toons at once out in the open unless you want unwanted attention.

No one really cares anymore BJ. Just don't be blatant about it and you will be fine.

doing quest line wouldn't really bring extra attention tbh as your could drag 6 toons and do without a bot.

I've done it on 3 sets of 6 toons in the middle of the day. As long as you don't act like an idiot no-one knows the difference between boxing and botting. Well maybe another botter might.

Alot of the updates actually work raid wide believe it or not... the collection ones specifically.... The kill ones you still have to break your raid and do with each group.

And yes, just be polite and don't dominate mobs... search for the less populated instance... and when done never ever go outside instance again. I managed to complete on a half raid of twelve at the same time and never got reported that i know of. At least no GM approached me and no emails were sent.

On a similar note however I DID recently get approached by a GM about botting coincidentally soon after i started killing the x2 in contested Ossuary. I have been careful to not step on toes and leave if i got a sniff of anyone else in the zone but apparently a raid guild that shall remain nameless that feels that "contested" does not apply to them took exeption to not having the mob up anytime they felt the need to kill it for cyans. The GM asked me if I was botting. I politely told him know. He thanked me for my prompt response and apologized for bothering me.

The GM's are not stupid... they know the deal. Don't be an ass and they tend to look the other way.

So... What you're saying is.. don't bot in contested zones... ... ...
Your probably right... staying out of contested zones entirely is best. However if a zone is empty... i mean LITERALLY empty. And I am in the zone alone... then I see other people come in to the zone and I leave within minutes. Does that warrant a ban? /Shrug... I always try to play nice but if a mobs up and no ones around that's fair play regardless of it being botted or not if you ask me. I have actually gated out mid fight before to avoid confrontation and not allow people to observe me in action.

And for the record this same guild has known botters in it. But "hypocrit much" doesn't seem to register with them.

Yeah I take my group into the contested zones and first thing I do is /who. If there are genuine players in there I leave, but it's usually either empty or other botters lol.

Would love a script to tell me if others zone into my empty contested zone btw.

BJ Playerscanner will show you anyone near you, how far away and if you click on a name it will show you an in-game waypoint to them and draw the X on your map.

Ogrebot -HUDs tab - Nearest PC or something. Will put an on-screen display any time a player out of group/raid is in the general area (like 200m away).
You can do this for Nearest NamedNPC, your group, even your raid.
You can even align the raid with the raid window ( Y Position Increment of 17 ) and you can see the distance of each raid member right beside the raid window.

Yeah I use HUD, it's very useful. I meant more a notification if another player zones into a contested area, not necessarily if they are close to me, so I knew to leave.
