im not particularly worried, the craft bot was junk and demon continuously has people bitching about being suspended anyway.

IMO, no. The same rules apply to us that have always applied to us. Play "safe", don't afk, don't piss off other people, don't bot around others etc.

Unfortunately for people like "us", if they magically come up with some way to detect isxeq2 and take aggressive action for merely having it, we wouldn't know until all of us got hit with the ban hammer. Having said that, ISXEQ2 is very passive (IMO anyways). It reads information and passes it along to us. So it's not really doing much of anything.

Well, that is all my tool did was read the data and never ever touched the client.

As far as the moron above you it was junk only because they lacked the brain cells to set it up properly as I demand a brain cell and participation when using any thing I write. This monkey mentality that Windows people seem to have has to stop someplace, but each to their own.

What the hell are you talking about?

I can't comment on the tsbot or whatever because I've never seen or heard of it before. But you definitely "touched" the client. Sending commands to the client is touching it. I'll be the first to admit I'm not an expert in this area, but I know what communication with the server is, and too much is a bad thing.

What I like most, is how you group 90% ++ of the world as being a monkies. Yes, every single person that uses windows doesn't know what they are doing. Shit, I'm willing to bet you have a windows machine also.

As for the moron above, why would he use your tsbot (that got you banned) when he has other isxeq2 tools for crafting?

More than half the shit that people get banned on are them being afk and when a gm sends them a tell there not responding back..I never use my bots unless im there controlling my main tank, i just let eq2bot control the other 5 main tank i always do.

I stated a long time ago that using demon would eventually get you banned. I decompiled it and looked at the source -- it was ugly and poorly implemented, as well as involving very active/blunt hacking.

As far as I know (and I believe this will always be the case), attended use of isxeq2 (whether it be botting or crafting) will not cause you problems. The worst case scenario will be a GM sending you a "tell" ...at that point you answer them and nothing happens. However, if you afk anything in any game, you will eventually get caught and banned.

Whether you realize it or not, I never intended the /craft command to be used for unattended crafting. My thought was that you would start the process, then chat with your friends or maybe alt-tab to your www browser and then come back to check-in every few minutes. In other words, you should BABYSIT your crafting.

I don't foresee SOE ever cracking down on people that use ISXEQ2 as it was intended to be used. But, yes, if you use amateur programs that are out there on the market that use hacks and god knows what else, you may very well get caught.
