Is there a way to make VGEcho to a different window?

Do i need to create a channel?

Is there any risk to outputting to a channel i create?

BTW, i am at 24 hours from starting up with IS and this plugin and i am running on my first script. (well, its getting there, but my first functions work.)

vgecho echos on the same channel as Mindsay (channel 17). Make a new tab, turn off Mindsay to all chat tabs except the new one.

to be clear, this is all local echoing on Mindsay. It's not hitting the server.

What are you trying to accomplish with this? I would assumed that you didnt want to see vgecho due to possible screen shots from GM's which is why i suggested just using echo. I am not a big fan of VG echo but that is just me ;)

Old habit from mq2 and eq, but i prefer to redirect the echos to another window. Say a third one i create.

well if you are paranoid about it showing up from like a GM investigation or something, the only safe way is to output it to an IS window (such as the console)

echo is what you want. The InnerSpace console window is invisible to everyone but you. And, if you want to make it a part of your UI, you certainly can resize/move it where you like (even reskin it if you want).

Ok so if i use a crafting/WO BOT and they have UI's, are these classed as part of IS or VG? I assume IS because they are running from within its directory but wanted to check for peace of mind ;) I dont want any screenshots of me fiddling around with scripts hehe.

Thanks guys.

that is part of IS and does not show up on any SS you take (unless you hit the print screen button on your keyboard and paste the image into photoshop or soemthing)

Interstingly enough, everyone is assumine i want to do this because of paranoia. Nope, its a convenience issue. To have a macro issue general information in one chat window. One that i normally read. And maybe have high importance info off to another window.

I would think contructively there should be a way to do this. But ISXVG may not have that facility yet.

i told you how you could do it using is+isxvg+VG itself. if you aren't paranoid, do that.

if you wanted to simulate a chat window and have echo or something like it go to it, you could do that entirely in IS+isxvg. this would cover the paranoid.
