What are my botting options with 1 PC and 'ISXEQ2'

As a new subscriber I haven't used ISXEQ2 for more than crafting, quickly setting my broker set and some transmuting.

I am curious what other stuff I can do with the scripts. I know there is a bot script but the trouble is I only have one PC. I sometimes run EQ2 accounts with the same PC, tabing back and forth with one toon on AF.

Is it possible to bot using one PC using ISXEQ2. Can you even run two instances of ISXEQ2?

Can someone point me in the right direction here, thanks.

you can run as many as your computer can support.

eq2botcommander on the main account to controll the other ones.

use ixboser suite to set up multiple windows if you want. like a large window at the top of the screen and 3 smaller ones at bottom so you can see all 4 accounts and the characters moving with the main.

yes of course, did it not work for you? be as specific as possible, lots of people will try to help.

for..?
Honestly I was curious if it was even possible, I haven't tried it at all. I am going to play around with eq2botcommander and see how it goes.

All I basically want to do is have my baby healer act as a bot and use my main to power level the healer. So the healer will follow me through zones, throwing out some heals and collecting the chests.

Thanks

You'll want an adventure bot (EQ2bot), then you will want Eq2botcommander to give you control over eq2bot while it is behind your main character.

Many of us play 3-4 on each computer. I personally have my "tank" on a computer by himself, then have my others on a diff computer where I don't really care who is main screen.

OK so quick update. I just had a little play around with Eq2botcommander in the Sanctum of Scaleborn. This worked pretty well with my healer following me around, throwing out some heals and looting the chests.

I didn't mess around with all the options, just basically setting the healer to cure and heal.

I noticed that after maybe 40/50 mins the framerate seemed to drop a fair bit though, not sure if this is a problem with my PC in general (Quad Core, 4GB, Win7) or something else.

I presume EQ2Bot is a different program, from what it sounds like as I am using just one PC, I dont really need Eq2botcommander and could have used EQ2Bot, is this correct? I dont mind tabbing back and forth now and again.

Now that I think about it, I may try this in full screen rather than windowed mode. I am not sure if ISEQ2 even works in full screen, been so long since I set it up and I normally play windowed anyway.

I am racking my brains to remember where to go to grind some AAs for a lowbie toon through killing mobs. Are there any instances with mobs that respawn. My idea was to simply leave my two guys in a zone killing respawning mobs whilst I afk for a few hours. I remember the nest in KOS had respawning mobs but thats about it.

Thanks to everyone for the help, I have a feeling I am going to use this script a LOT in the future :)

Generally anything that allows you to afk and bot.. isn't supported here. Also.. if people share their "secret spots" for afk botting, given enough people doing it, SOE will catch on and nerf them, or worse, they will monitor them and ban people.

Be warned.. by using any 3rd party products, you have a small risk of being banned.
By using 3rd party products to AFK bot, your risk goes up _a lot_.

So.. my recommendation - be at your computer while you bot. I always am! :halo:

I do tend to be around the PC when I bot, normally just watching TV as my crafters do writs etc, so no worries there.

If anyone has any tips in terms of where to bot to increase my AAs by killing mobs, feel free to send me a private message :)

On a different point I can play EQ2 fullscreen using ISXEQ2 right? I think I get better performance in general from fullscreen than windowed.

I read something about 'Ogre bot' is that a completely different script, if so is it worth using?

As long as you can load the game through innerspace, you can use ISXEQ2.

There are many Ogre scripts out there. "Ogre bot" is an adventure bot that I wrote from scratch. It is not publically available, so you can't check it out. There are many other Ogre scripts (not related to adventuring) depending on your needs.
Posts about them in the /scripts section (on these forums).

So you are the person who wrote the 'ogre transmute' script, I use this everyday, it's one of the things I love about ISXEQ2. A big thank you for that as it has saved me so much time.
