I am having a problem with getting the writ bot to work. Basically, it says it has a problem obtaining the quest and shuts down. It will ask the writ agent for the quest, but it will not make a choice and then shuts down. If I make the selection, it will go through the boting process until it completes crafting. Once that happens, it won't find the agent to turn it in and once again shuts the program down. I have tried all sorts of options, but it continues to have the same issue. Any suggestions how to get it obtain and turn in the quest? Thanks.

on the writ tab there is 2 options, How many writs, and what selection... What selection are you using?

Where are you when your trying to do these writs...?

I have tried both options of work orders and rush writs, various quantities and also have tried several tradeskill zones. It behaves the same way no matter what I do. The major problem seems to involves obtaining the quest once a selection has to be made. It will not make the selection. If I make it, it will craft, but will not turn it in.

maybe you don't read so good. TRY THIS. ON THE WRITS TAB. THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS. ONE IS WRIT COUNT. ONE IS CHOICE. WTF DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CHOICE OPTION??

seriously. someone asked a question about what you had for your options, and you totally blew the question off.

I rather you just tell me whats in your "Choice" box? So that the next person who has this problem can come here and see what you have there - and why its not working....
Well with specialists being asshats what did you expect the guy to say? I have encountered this problem several times as well. Mainly on irc, but I see now that it is becoming a problem on the forums as well. This is a great program, but some of the people that "help" subscribers need a serious attitude adjustment in my opinion. You guys seriously need to realize that not everyone has been playing this game 5 years, and not everyone has had isx for years. If you can't handle PAYING CUSTOMERS problems without being a prick about it then you need to let someone else handle them.

The way this was put was very uncalled for, and him having a tag that reads ISX Specialist really makes you guys look bad. If all ISX staff are like this guy, and the few I have dealt with then I am probably putting unneeded stress on my keyboard by typing all that. Ok ranting done....

Ok , I'll bite , Valerian ISN'T a paid member of staff for ISX , he maintains the several scripts he does because he wants to.

Like myself he plays EQ2 and keeps the scripts up-to date on a voluntary basis.

All the payment you make monthly does is pay for the extension to interpret and run these scripts.

Nup tried to help him, he ignored the request for information so he could just restate his question. Val tried to get the necessary information again, and he ignored the question again. This is information that could help the powers that be determine whether the issue is an ID ten T error or a script error that may affect more than one person.

Everyone knows that the scripts aren't perfect, and the only way they can be made better is if the people that know what they're doing get information about why they aren't working for people. People unwilling to help don't really deserve much in the way of civility.

So, I expected him to say "You're right, I didn't read the post, I was putting in X for count and Y for choice. Does that help, or do you want me to try something different?"

I had an issues a while back when I was learning how to use the Writ feature.

Things that causes craft to fail for me.

1. Your not level 20 to request the writs.
2. Writ selection on a number where you can't request. After I realized it I stuck with "1."
3. Having high lag. I tried to have eq2 and eq1 running at the same time with mq2 running and it would crash the crafting session. "later I found out about Lock foreground option."

Other than that the only issues I have as a jeweler is the stupid door not opening in TS instances if I need to buy coal. and it running in to the railing after buying stuff from the broker.

The other thing that causes this, is not having the writ giver targeted when starting the script. I have the exact thing happen to me when I first started using writs.

Ok, here you go. Read this: http://www.isxgames.com/isxeq2/Acquisition_Step3.html

And I quote:

An ISXEQ2 subscription grants you two things and two things only: access to the features available on the current version of ISXEQ2 for up to three different computers within a 24 hour time period, and free downloads of new versions of ISXEQ2 as they become available.
Running the scripts that are provided by PLAYERS LIKE YOU, is not included in your subscription fee. Consider yourself lucky there are scripts to run at all, with an attitude like yours.
