Crafting changes

Hi guys. I browsed the forums and was surprised to not find anything on this but maybe I missed it. SOE recently removed the Pristine title from all crafting recipes since this was just a layover from the days when you could make more than one quality of an item. I'm leveling up a tailor who is lvl 49 right now. I am completely unable to do writs at all as each one I get has recipes it can't find and I am assuming that this is because of the changes. I know about the customwrit file that can be edited for recipe name changes and such and have used it before but in this case it would have to be all the recipes. I'm assuming that the craft script itself will be updated rather than every user having to enter every recipe name in the customwrit file. That may not be the case but I wanted to check and be sure before I go through the trouble. Thanks in advance.

Tailor has always been fubar. You'll notice that 95% of the lines in customwrits are due to soe screwing up the tailor recipes and writs.

This will likely all STILL need to be fixed through customwrits, as there's most likely still insanity in the other prefix styles.

Mr

My Alchemist has difficulty too... Tried writs that previously worked yet after BOT acquires the writ from the NPC and activates the timer with clipboard, I get the error that no valid recipe can be found....... but...... if I do a simple combine with the same exact recipe, the recipe works .....

Please help... arthritis is killing me

If a game is causing you pain due to your arthritis, can I suggest you STOP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING?

If you are looking for sympathy, because you claim to have (or even if you have) a personal issue, you have come to the wrong place. That's like someone coming here saying they are a doctor, and you must address them by Dr. and fix their issue because they are important.

I may only speak for myself, but I don't care about your personal life, keep that shit to yourself.

And to follow up what, I have every single crafter, as do a few others here I'm sure. I use them all regularly, and experience no trouble with the writ system for either rush order, or regular writs. Though only when I do BG's do I bother with the regular ones.

Find the ones (recipes) that don't work, and edit the custom writs file so they do. Do a search on custom writs on these forums and you will find all the info you need to do so with a little work.

Gu57

Just wanted to address this again... last time I brought this up nobody knew what I was talking about. The patch notes I saw must have been from the test server but now it is live on GU57. Pristine has been removed from all recipes and it is causing the tailor to bomb on writs. It won't affect crafters who didn't have pristine recipes, like a provisioner, but others like tailor and jeweler are going to have problems with every recipe. Will there be a major upgrade on the craft bot to fix this so we don't have to modify the customwrits.xml for every recipe? Thanks in advance.

FYI - Been doing writs on woodworker, carpenter, tailor, jeweler and provisioner today with no issues at all with new recipe names.

Thanks Wolfppo, i havent noticed that many problems with mine, whenever i get an error with my writs i just do them manually ie: enter the recipe in eq2craftsearch not actually doing the recipe :halo:

If you guys notice one or two OBVIOUS patterns with the custom writs changes you're making, please point them out. If it's something that can be coded in, I'd prefer to keep the customwrits to a minimum.

Rush Orders

Any word when this will be fixed. Rush Orders are still too slow to beat the timer. Everything seems to be working fine... just not fast enough to do the rush orders.

I am a 37 Tailor.

The only true problem is the "Pristine" and w/e titles being taken away.
Is that really a problem? How is it some people are posting they are doing writs fine on every class without using customwrits any different than previous?

If you are reading this, and want someone else to fix it, take the time to find the problem. "It's pristine" isn't finding the problem.

Example:
If you try to writ and you get recipe ______ you get error message _____. When you put ____ and ____ into customwrits that same recipe works fine. Get a few examples like that.

Once that is done, the people who have it working fine could check their customwrits to ensure nothing is in there.

I know I'm cool my writs are working fine atm I made custom writs and it all works well.

What I was saying I guess is the only problem I had was that the "Pristine" title was removed.

Issue that I am having is pretty much the same thing.

level 80 Jeweler.

Rush order asks for 2 "Deklium Girdle."

I search the work bench for deklium girdle and it comes back with pristine deklium girdle.

I added this to my custom writ file..

<Setting Name="pristine deklium girdle">Deklium Girdle</Setting>

and still won't fine the item to do the writs.

Ok now if I remove pristine from the custom writ xml file it will find the item needed to craft but then when it tries to add the item to the queue to craft it kills the crafting bot.

I had been having issues with tailor rush orders. I've so far solved all of them by editing customwrits.

Here is an example of what one line of code looks like for me.

<Setting Name="woven Strengthened tunic">Tailored woven Strengthened tunic</Setting>

The first recipe name seems to coincide with what the writ is actually asking you to make. In this example, the writ asks for a "Woven Strengthened Tunic".

The second name there refers to what the recipe in your tradeskill books is actually called. In this case it is "Tailored Woven Strengthened Tunic."

Ensure that these two match properly and the bot should run fine.
