I'm currently leveling a provisioner and will post things that I have to add to this file while I find them. Here's the first:
Code:

This one shouldn't be needed, I'll look into it. Second one is a good find though.

Val, I **THINK** this is what I added when I was grinding the early 40 writs last night.

This one also shouldn't be needed. I'm probably exiting a loop early before it can check for a single word recipe (thought I already fixed this bug).

As I said before, will look into it. Until then, you might want to keep a copy of your customwrits or be prepared to add these that you still use to it once it gets patched over. I don't want to add these recipes that SHOULD be detected automatically to it and end up with a bazillion "official" customwrits again, that would be bad mmkay?

Continue to post them if ya like though.

No problem, Valerian. FYI I am double checking for idiot errors on my part making sure that I actually have scribed the essentials book. Once I add the setting to the xml file it does start to work again.

I can understand your frustration, though. There are lots of other recipes that are worded the exact same way that it does find the name for. I can't think of a reason it would just fail on these.

Thanks for being so attentive to the thread. I haven't encountered any more yet and just dinged 50, so it's just a handfull out of 30 levels of rush orders. TTYL!

Edit: duh you just mentioned single word recipes.

CustomWrits has been making me insane with this area. All the cloth recipes are:

Tailored Sandcloth <item>

which produce:

Pristine Sandcloth <item>

The rush order writs ask for:

Pristine Sandcloth <item>

but can't match that to the recipes, I've tried just about every combination of Pristine/Tailored/nothing in CustomWrits.xml, but no matter what I do, it still refuses to match request to recipe.

To make matters worse, almost all the leather recipes are:

Tailored Stonehide Leather <item>

which produce:

Pristine Stonehide Leather <item>

with identical results to the cloth recipes above, with the exception of the pouch/bag/bandolier, which even though the recipes are named the same way, produce:

Pristine Tailored Stonehide Leather <item>

The writs recognize those just fine!

Making me crazy I tell you!

I thought I understood...

How CustomWrits.xml worked and your reply confirmed it, your suggested cure was what I tried the first time. I just did it again, on the off chance that the file hadn't reloaded.

Code:
	<Set Name="Custom Writ Names">
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Boots">Tailored Stonehide Leather Boots</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Skullcap">Tailored Stonehide Leather Skullcap</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Gloves">Tailored Stonehide Leather Gloves</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Bracers">Tailored Stonehide Leather Bracers</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Pants">Tailored Stonehide Leather Pants</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Tunic">Tailored Stonehide Leather Tunic</Setting>
<Setting Name="Pristine Stonehide Leather Shoulder Pads">Tailored Stonehide Leather Shoulder Pads</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Pantaloons">Tailored Sandcloth Pantaloons</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Cap">Tailored Sandcloth Cap</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Slippers">Tailored Sandcloth Slippers</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Cuffs">Tailored Sandcloth Cuffs</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Mitts">Tailored Sandcloth Mitts</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Robe">Tailored Sandcloth Robe</Setting>
		<Setting Name="Pristine Sandcloth Shawl">Tailored Sandcloth Shawl</Setting>
From what I assumed, and what you replied, that little snippet should have solved my problem, problem is, EQ2Craft reports and aborts saying:

Code:
Opening messagebox:
Unable to find valid recipe for Pristine Sandcloth Pantaloons
Debug mode doesn't add any information either.

1) when editing customwrits your craft MUST be closed.
2) make sure you have the recipe in your book.

From that information, I can tell that either you do NOT have the recipe in your book, or your customwrits got overwritten when you restarted craft after putting that line in. There is no other solution.

Idiot Alert!

Long story short, I had multiple copies of the scripts directories and was editing the wrong copy of the xml files.

After deleting innerspace, isxeq2 and my copy of the svn, and reinstalling same, things are working much better (although, the pathing on good side leaves much to be desired, using the experimental files).

Thanks for the help and patience Valerian

Code:
<Setting Name="mix a glass of Iced Black Eye Chai">Iced Black-Eye Chai</Setting>
Edit: There is also a recipe for "Black-Eye Chai," but there is no need to worry about that one. It parses correctly. For some reason they forgot the hyphen in the quest text for the iced version.

I've spent a bit of time on my t8 tailor last night, trying to figure out why it keeps hanging up in craft during the writ process. My findings are as followed:

Pristine Damask Slippers is called for in the writ for BOTH, tranquil and tailored damask slippers

The same applies for the mitts and cap.

Do you know of any workaround besides actually manually doing writs? I tried switching back and forth between tailored and tranquil in the customwrit file to no success.

Thanks in advance!

ok, so how do you manually know which it's calling for?

Ummm actually , when I was leveling my tailor the 2 items DID have different text descriptions in the quest text.
that was actually my point.

CustomWrits will work if used correctly.

there are only a few recipes it will NOT work on, and that's due to recipe names being used more than once by SOE -- Decree for example.

wont save!?

So I have the most recent customwrits.xml file from running the svn but it's missing tons of stuff -- even most of the posted additions i've found in the forums. I've been trying to add my lvl 74 armorer recipes to this file but it will not retain the save!! I've saved it, double checked that it's still there after I save and exit and open it again... but then when I do craft in game it still errors and out when I go back to check the file again it's all gone!! what do I need to do to get my changes to stick?? the file has a red ! instead of the green check mark too and I'm sure that's part of the problem but not sure how to fix it. can anyone fill me in please?

Are you adding them while craft is running? , if so , don't ... always exit craft before editing the file.

nothing was running

I've added the recipes to the xml outside of game, with nothing running.

I've saved it and opened it again to make sure the changes were there, but it seems like as soon as I type Craft in the console it overwrites it with the current svn file that pretty much only has tailoring in it. If I try to save while it's running, it says I can't because the file is in use by another program.

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong or how to make the changes stick?

I'm having trouble with the lvl 74 armorer rush orders which includes some or all of these recipes:

lvl 72

don't suppose it would be easy to have the program completely ignore the word Pristine huh?! sounds easy, but it's probably not and I have no idea if that would even work. just a thought. ;)
