Echoes of Faydwer -- Donation Time

I just wanted to send a heads up that the Echoes of Faydwer Expansion will work similar to Live Update #24 in that those who donate will receive the extension right away, with the extension not being posted on the boards for around a month thereafter.

This system has worked well in the past and I feel as though most people have been good about not trading copies and thereby making everyone play by the same rules. There are around 230 people downloading ISXEQ2 right now every forced patch -- so, I expect to get around that many donations. If not, then I may have to go to another system that won't be nearly as flexible.

Also, I will attach to this thread a copy of the file that I place in the download thread once isxeq2 is ready. Reading it should help you understand this process a bit better.

Also, I will use this thread to give you information on my progress for this expansion. Typically expansions aren't terribly hard updates for me, but we'll see

I did get the beta invitation today, so things should go more smoothly than if I did not.

Thats unique downloads per board account? Just qualifying, as I D/L 6 times (once on each pc) on each update....

You only need to donate once per email account at this point. I will send the extension to the email address that's associated with the donation.

Someday I may move to a subscription model which might have a restriction on the number of computers/downloads per user, but for now, I do not.

As long as you're not using isxeq2 to make money, then I'm not at all upset that you use it on multiple computers. If you're using isxeq2 to make money, then I should get a percentage...lol.

Thats what I was getting at. I was curious if your metric tracked unique account downloads or total downloads. My thinking is there are plenty of others like me that use multiple pc's and the actual number of users is significantly less than the total number of downloads.

And I don't make money as of yet, but considering the account business

His original post said around a month - EoF launched on the 16th of November, so that comes out to about 16th of December for those that can't donate the $20.
