Extension for Final Fantasy XIV

They've announced that beta for FF14 is starting in a few months. This is one of the games I'm most excited about. I'm wondering if Ama's given any thought to creating an extension for it or if it's too early to make that decision.

Having not played the beta, I'm not sure if it'll be good or not. But if its an improvement on the old FF mmo, I'll most definitely be playing it.

Thread resurrection!!

Since FF relaunch has been so good and seeing how it has already been deemed a success I am curious if there will be any ISX support for this in the future?

Post again with an update on the status of the game in about April/May of 2014. I really don't have time to work on new projects until the summer months (at which time I can usually churn things out very quickly.)

On a related note, I did revive isxAion and release a beta (free) version of that here on the forums. I would encourage you to give that game a chance if you have not already.


(By the way, I played FFXIV in beta and pre-purchased it myself. However, I chose to go back and play Rift these past weeks instead of FFXIV. ...for what it's worth.)

I did try Aion back when you first started working on it but that game did nothing for me so it didn't hold my interest, same with Rift but it was to big a wow clone for my liking.

Already on my 2nd class on FF and it's still fun, being able to play every class/job on one toon is huge replay value for me and others too since I read this game has the highest retention of subs after the free 30 days for any mmo since wow. I'll keep you posted :)

I would love to know the status of this request. I am absolutely loving playing ffxiv and the current set of bots out there either suck or cost as much as the game itself per toon per month. Would love and isx extension!!

It's very doubtful. I'm much more likely to spend my time on Wildstar, which I think has more longevity.

But, who knows really. As I stated before, I can't really do anything until the summer months and this summer is already looking pretty busy with other projects related to my "real job". New extensions are going to be few and far between.

On a related note, I did revive isxAion, so if you're looking for a new game that you can use innerspace with, that might be one to try.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn currently has over 4 million registered accounts, which is a leap from 2.5 million accounts at the end of last year an their first expansion out in June. There are a lot of Bots in FF and i dont see it policed, just seems like a good market for you guys. Also Wildstar is all but dead from what I hear and read.

Yea, Wildstar was great..until you hit max level, then it was boring (in my opinion.)

We'll see about FFXIV ....I agree it's a good game, and I may look at it more this summer. At this point, I'm currently playing ArcheAge myself. (It uses "Hackshield" so it's doubtful that it will work with innerspace.)

Agree, Archeage is pretty fun but isnt it mostly pvp at high levels? Im not apposed to pvp thats just not why I play MMO's, although running around slaughtering people with a full bot team would be pretty funny, until ya got banned haha. I only recently started playing FF again after over a year off and was pretty surprised to see over half my linkshell online. Tells me the game has staying power and a healthy population.

Don't know as there would be much market for this. There is already an incredibly powerful bot for FFXIV that supports multiboxing type activities as well, and allows for full LUA scripting. Even includes a fully customizable 3d mapping system for navigation.

Well, there you have it. Unless you can make a list of things that bot cannot do -- then, I guess there's no point.

You didn't like minion? That thing is quite possibly the most powerful bot and boxing tool I have ever used in any MMO. No disrespect meant for anyone here, what these devs do here is amazing as well. :)

Ya and it costs more than the game itself per month for the sub, It's ridiculously expensive and the devs are super greedy folk, and TBH personally I like rebornbuddy better. obviously cheaper with its lifetime sub option and also fully scriptable for almost anything you want to do.

personally didn't find it to be so really. Am paying more than that per month anyway with ISX, Ogre, and BJ combined currently to box eq2. but didn't mean to cause any trouble or send anyone elsewhere necessarily. ISX + Ogre is still the best thing going out there. Interesting to see rebornbuddy though, that wasn't out when last I played the game.

I understand this is an extremely old thread but I was curious if any more thought has been put into this? FFXIV is still going strong and while there are bots out there I've noticed they are geared towards solo play rather than multi-boxing. Minion is what I currently use and it requires a sub for each account, isn't easily customized at all and might be excellent for the person who wants to level each class on that one character (It does grinding very well). Would love for an FFXIV extension if at all possible.
