semi-rare "unforced" forced patch, reported and confirmed crashes on login using previous exe.

run launchpad, update eq2, commence waiting peacefully and patiently on the maestro.

Yep, go to log in and think 'Yeah! Not forced!' then it crashes. Ok, try again, maybe a fluke. Crashes. Crap, let's check isxgames. Yep, 'forced unforced' update. :(

is Amadeus aware of this? so many updates sucks...
When Amadeus is out of his house (say work, for example), what happens in EQ2 doesn't matter. He isn't just going to leave his job to come home for isxeq2.

When is isn't occupied, he always is aware of what is going on with all the games he supports. So it's just a matter of time until he is available, and has time to fix it.

Having said that, I believe he's away all today. So have the day off.

I would normally agree with you. However, When you charge somebody for a service, that is considered a job. I understand he can not make a living on this site and with this product so it does not really bother me that bad. But to insist that just because he has other stuff to do that people who pay for his service/product "don't matter" is not good business sense. If I pay you for a service or product I feel I should receive the same amount of attention as you would give ANY of your other customers. It shouldn't matter if you only make 50.00 off me and make 1 million off another customer. In this day and age customer service goes a long way. The head you piss on today could be the ass you're having to kiss tomorrow.

Now, back to the subject of the forced patch.... SoE does this after every launch. If you don't know this by now then I would suggest you stop playing the game. They are notorious for pushing out patch after patch following a expansion. They come up with patches, stick them on the test server and pretty much leave them there for a few days then push them live without looking into bugs and problems with the fix.

8. What does my subscription grant me?
An ISXEQ2 subscription grants you two things and two things only: access to the features available on the current version of ISXEQ2 for up to three different computers within a 24 hour time period, and free downloads of new versions of ISXEQ2 as they become available.

17. Now that I'm paying a subscription should I expect more support and faster releases than previously?
Read number 8 above again. It's worded very carefully to indicate exactly what you can expect from your subscription.

Give the guy a break believe it or not there are more important things in life than your ability to log into a game. SMH

Its best left as, "Ama will get to it as quickly as possible". When dealing with RL money any other answer would be met with controversy....its the nature of the beast. If we paid with Plats, then we can say its just a game.

fyi - i've been more than happy with the services I have recieved over the last few years.

Same here I remembered it but took a bit of searching to find. I have a feeling it's in the FAQ somewhere most likely. To be honest I copied it just today and couldn't find it quick even if I wanted to.

The fact that it's a game has nothing to do with how fast something is done in order to make you happy and/or that your money is returning what you expected from it. The fact is simply, as posted earlier in this thread, I clearly state that everyone gets updates when they are ready/available. I provide no promises on time or that it is, in any way, a priority for me. I stated it very clearly.

If you don't like it, then you can cancel your subscription and request a refund of the last payment. If it was fairly recent, and/or if it was your first payment, then I usually return it. However, if you go that route, I will never let you use ISXEQ2 again. I don't like the hassle of dealing with it.

So, anyway, that's the way it is. You have paid for my services under my terms. I provided those terms clearly when you subscribed and I never indicated that there was any room for negotiation.
