Yes, today is a forced patch. Sorry for the late posting/reply.

Patch your eq2 folders using the default option and patiently wait for a new release of isxeq2.

Estimated down time for this event is 12 hours.

Today World of Warcraft update new 3.1 patch.

This is purely optional, but I think everyone will want this.

Open eq2.ini

add this line:

cl_show_welcome_screen_on_startup 0

Today SOE patched twice???? isxeq2.dll for the first everqeust2.exe and the new everqeust2.exe can't load isxeq2.dll??

The error message says "the first EverQuest2.exe patched on April 14, 2009" ...or something to that effect.

Again, you should NEVER patch unless it's forced. So -- the only people with troubles are those that did not patch until later in the day. If you patched earlier in the day you should have not patched again until it's 'forced' ...which wouldn't have been this afternoon/evening.

Either way, the proper EverQuest2.exe is always available at isxeq2.twonk.net
