isxEVE does not start EVE

I have a problem with isxEVE since more then 1 week or so.

When trying to start EVE normally using isxEVE, the splash screen of EVE Online is displayed (longer then usual) and then, once it dissapears, the actual client is never loaded (even if the process still remains in memory as I can see it running in the task manager).

Note that when running EVE without isxEVE this problem does not occur.

Please advice.

Thank you!

Is this happening when you run with Innerspace without loading ISXEVE?
ISXEVE is for sure loaded automatically at the STARTUP of INNERSPACE (using the configuration panel - startup - ext isxeve) configuration method.

Please note that I am experiencing this problem only since 1-2 weeks. It was working fine before and I do not see anything special that I could have done to damage the setup of Innerspace/ISXEVE

Any suggestions, please ?

Try removing ISXEVE from the Innerspace "startup" routine for EVE so that Innerspace loads the game, but ISXEVE is not automatically loaded.

Then, start the game with innerspace, hit the tilde (~) key to open the console and then type "ext isxeve" and see what happens.

I just tried this right now (removed ISXEVE from the Innerspace EVE profile "Startup") and same result: the splash screen of EVE Online client is displayed, stays visible for several seconds (more than usual) and then once it dissapears the client never shows up (but it remains resident in memory, I can see it in the task manager and that is how I actually close it to free memory).

Please advice.

Well, if it's not working with InnerSpace only, then it's not an ISXEVE problem and I can't help you. You'll have to talk to Lax at lavishsoft.com.

You could try changing the executable that InnerSpace is launching to either EVE.exe or ExeFile.exe (try the other one from what you're using now.) That might work.

I have tried switching from EVE.exe to ExeFile.exe and the profile is not longer available in the system tray. Switched back to EVE.exe and the profile is available again. Does this maybe give you any indication ?

I'm saying to actually go in and edit it to say ExeFile.exe instead of EVE.exe (or vice-versa) in the configuration itself. I don't care with that profile is called.

This is all I can suggest. What you're describing is not an ISXEVE issue.

I will contact Lavish for further support and advice. Will most likely return here with a conclusion after the problem is solved.

Thank you for your time.

I have found the problem: Kaspersky Password Manager.

After closing Kaspersky Password Manager, the EVE client loads without any problem, however, once I try to "ext isxeve" the client crashes with the following error:

I thought you found the problem. Didn't you say that it works if you close or uninstall Kaspersky Password Manager? If so, then you're either going to stop using it or else talk to Lax (at Lavishsoft) about fixing the problem.

I suggest not using anything by Kaspersky myself. I've never seen anything good come of using their products.

The initial problem is indeed related to KPM.

At this point I am talking about a new problem: isxEVE is crashing EVE.

So, if you load up EVE using innerspace. Then, once you're in the game you open the console and type "ext isxeve" ..and it crashes?

Are you using any other 'new' software that might be causing problems?

Are you making sure that you're using the latest version of ISXEVE (http://www.isxgames.com/isxeve/Extensions/ISXEVE.dll)?

I load EVE using Innerspace. When I start ISXEVE with "ext isxeve", EVE crashes with the following error report.

Description:
Stopped working

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: ExeFile.exe
Application Version: 7.20.33.2665

KPM is not running when this happens. No other new software installed. Using latest version of ISXEVE.DLL.

FYI, that data is useless to us. No need to waste your time retrieving it. Follow Amadeus instructions for crash reporting he gave in the post above this.
