Mystic or Warden

Hey guys I am thinking of swapping out my mystic for a warden. Now I know that leather healers are supposedly not up to par with other healers but I personally like the class and I am doing it mainly for tortoise shell. Thoughts and ideas are most welcome. Also if anyone can show me how to use ACT to check heal parse ( newb user here) that would be awesome, thanks.

Wardens have a ton of death saves or stoneskins, not to mention the AoE avoid, which is all great, but if you are intending to MT any raid mobs, ever, it's not a good idea.

If your talking a second healer then keep mystic and add warden but tbh shammys are a must for any raid content and you can't beat the curing if an inquisitor.

I am just a random nobody. I probably don't have the "best" setup out there but it is effective for me and by raiding druids for the past 6 years I am most likely biased towards them but I do like running 2 druids in my 12 man. I run a Zerk/Guard, Bl, Coer, Dirge, Warden, Mystic/Defiler and Sk, Wiz, Illy, Troub, Inq, Fury. Tortoise Shell, Bladedance, Group DP/ Equilibrium, Tortoise Shell, Porcupine/Raidcure is an awesome start to any raid mob burn! :) But really it is just personal opinion and comfort level for me.

My opinion is if you decide to put the warden into your group trade it out for the inq instead of the mystic. Druids are just as capable at curing and healing as inq's and you will want the wards. Sure they can't cure while flying through the air (although wardens can to a certain extent with shatter infections and a good timer) but who needs to cure much with TS's reuse at one minute?. Imo the HoT's, Stoneskins, DP's, Sandstorm, AE block, DPS of the warden out-weigh all the inq goodies. I am sure most will disagree though.

Cool thanks all. I dont run a raid set up because I dont want to spend the money on 12 accounts. I generally run a group of 6 SK or guard..inq..mystic..dirge..illy..sin. I do love the warden alot for some reason. I never thought of swapping out the inq for the warden, ill give that a try. thanks again i appreciate it.

I suspect you'll suffer a bit of a DPS loss switching the Inq to a Warden(the Inq melee proc is still better than group Instinct/Windblade the last time I checked), but you'll certainly gain quite a bit in convenience. The low recast AoE avoid and group DP allows you to give quite a few AE's the middle finger. And Cyclone is awesome for certain fights.

There is one good thing about using a druid..

Since it seems they have a solid 50% drop when priet gear drops, they will get geared faster than any other priest.

Yes, this is just a shameless i hate druid gear post.. :)

I considered switching my inq for a warden and opted instead to switch my assassin for a swashbuckler. Nice DPS, AE blocker, interrupt on melee, and debuffs. My setup looks a lot like yours now except for that- SK, mystic, inq, illy, dirge, swash. Just something else to consider if you're simply looking for another AE blocker in your group :)

Ahh very nice didn't know that about swashbucklers. That was the whole reason to swap was for an additional AE blocker. Thanks looks like I got a coercer and swashy to level up now.
