Non-Forced, Forced Patch - 12-09-2008

Please patch your everquest2 folders today and wait for an update to isxeq2.

While the game will let you in without patching, there are some serious errors that will make the game unplayable in the current state. There was considerable code added to the everquest2.exe and we will need to have isxeq2 updated for it.

Normally a forced patch doesn't bother me because I figure it has something useful like fixing a stability problem. This one though really, really annoys me. As if the idea itself isn't annoying enough, the fact they broke ISXEQ2 on us for it is what elevates it to the REALLY annoying level. :steamed:

Meh, it's the nature of the beast. Gives those completely dependent on ISXEQ2 a chance to do something else.

Presumably the European Servers haven't been patched yet? I just reinstalled EQ2 and ISXEQ2 this evening and getting version errors.

Also checked the eq2players forums for Splitpaw server and no mention of a patch or pending patch.

European servers are probably screwed until the next forced patch.

As I've said, you all should transfer to U.S. servers if you want the full benefits of ISXEQ2.
