I'm wanting to get an idea of which one of these people are using nowadays.

Diplobot (.NET) - http://www.isxgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=623

Diplomacy Bot - http://www.isxgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1757

I don't think either of them are still supported. However, I wanted to get an idea of which one I should undertake in order to try and "maintain" it.

Kayre is still around and putzing around a little with VG, so we might get lucky at some point and get a release from him in the future. However, for now, is everyone using the lavishscript version? Is it good for all levels? Or, do people still use the .NET diplobot.

Discuss.

Ive been using the dip.bot for months. I have had ZERO problems with it. I have used it almost everywhere. When mobs roam it may get confused but thats not the script prob

mostly I use my custom script, but vote diplobot because I do still use it on rare occasions (with loot script running).

happy to switch

I have been really using the .net but am happy to switch for the more popular lavishscript but I really never tried the other besides downloading and seeing that I was not able to outwit the command line and get it do show me that it would do something at all.

what I have liked about the .net was that it was my #1 and 100% reliable way to 'tab' out... as tabbing out was just not an option because I would not get back 'in' or would just crash or stay in limbo.

is there a better way besides alt-N to get in and out of vg and windows... or can I switch to linux and wondow vg totally?

thanks for either and both.

Definitely Diplomacy Bot.

I found some problems with it... it it moves off of path it will always run straight to the first point, not the nearest point on map.

I have been gone long and may be far behind.

My biggest gripe with the .NET version is that whenever I had issues, Karye was unable to fix (understandable) and unwilling to let me help (not understandable). If you are going to focus on the .NET version, then I would strongly suggest you release source code with each update. If you can't do that, then the Eris one is the way to go, IMO.

Diplomacy Bot (ie the second one listed).

It works, but isn't very "clean". No alarms, had to hand edit to get rid of "trash", and I haven't been able to figure out how to have different setups for different characters (ie if I change the NPC list for one of my characters, it changes it for all of them).

I've always needed to switch between the two. The benefits of the .net one was it was definitely solid for the stand alone parley's with in a group of just facing. The negatives were it wouldn't move to well for me and it would always lag my computer if i were to tab out and try something out. That's just how all .net are for me though. The Lavish version was great for moving but wouldn't talk to NPC's in a group as well as it should have. I think I may have on accident replaced the original copy Eris gave me with the one he posted on the forums.

My final vote would be to update the Lavish version over the .net.

I am using the .NET version since many months. It has been working great for me all the time and has all the functions I need.

Ironically, I can only get the dip.iss to work and it ROCKS! Its totally unfair for me to vote if I can't use both to compare.
