That fight frustrated me, since he'll go exposed but not always show it, etc. Wrote up a snippet that just fires off the apply verb and can just tank/spank him with this running. Herc is putting this into ISXRI for that fight as well.

So... you're having the entire group spam sometthing to the server every exactly 1 second?
Yea... that's super smart... How about wait for the actual event to happen to not look like a bot?

There is a reason I don't make a living as a programmer. Could I have modified it with if ${Actor[Query, Name=="Gryme" && IsDead=FALSE](exists)}, sure.

But I left that to Herc to do when he puts it into ISXRI or you can do something along the same lines when you integrate the same logic into your stuff.

Regardless, I was trying to throw a quick/dirty thing out on a fight that was frustrating and I don't make money from these things. And since people were complaining I shared it.

I had a theory, and I believe Pork confirmed it.
The problem is the mob goes stun immune. You need to knock him down. There are a few abilities that will do this, however they will NOT do it if he is stunned immune. So my 'don't dps him for 30-60s' then try again, would have been a random 'a KB ability hit him as the first stun'.

I do still think there is more to it than this... I think it's bugged and if he's stun immune he just doesn't give the message, but may still actually be exposed.
But.. if you're having issues, self target, pause a toon with a kb, and wait for the stun immune to go away, and try to do a kb. See what happens.
I tried casting a 8 second stun and then immediately right clicking and there was no kick option. If however I switch off him, then switch back and stun is one of the first things cast THEN he spams me with the message and lets me kick him, so I do think stun immunity has something to do with it.

Never had any issues with this mob (with or without script); I just right click him until I get the green message then click on Bite Calf. If you let a few increments build up (20ish) then it only needs to happen once. The green message is not automatic, I've always need to right click to trigger it.

PS - Anybody started on the event challenge yet - Radiance?. No idea what to do with the first mob, Cinder Guardian of Ro so any hints would be welcome.

I have read complaints elsewhere that Cinder is bugged, that when he calls for a scout to do something it actually checks for a fighter, or when it calls for a healer it really wants a scout, etc for all four archetypes. Basically, when he calls for one type try each one of your archetypes then write down which one he really wants while calling for a different one.

I'm not seeing any message at all nor do I know what to do when a toon is called. Basically I pull, get it to 90% then wipe :))

Nice work on the claws mob in Monolith, one problem though - I'm getting owned by the aoe "Breath of Embers" which I believe comes from the brazier in the middle of the room. The closer to the brazier the harder the aoe hits. Could you move the campspot further from the brazier please?

Realistically the original campspot doesn't matter.
I highly recommend you follow this (it's in the original monolith post also)

As soon as he says he wants to play his game again, start running your tank across to his side. When the claws go down (2 this time), run beside each one and hit special_zonespecific. You can do this in rapid succession. You do not have to worry about waiting for the bard to finish each one, he knows to finish the one he's on first.
As soon as you've clicked them all on your tank, you can start running your tank towards your group. Once the bard is done, you can then move the group to the opposite side (where your tank just was, again, this is to keep heals around the bard while he clicks).
Rinse and repeat until the mob is dead.
You will be moving your group from side to side, so they won't really ever be near the middle thing.

Put all your characters on follow, attack 1 of the two mobs, when it's nearing 90% be ready to run, the moment you see the icon appear on the effects of the mob start running away. KEEP running until you get the 5 stack curse. At that point the dmg you will be receiving is 'locked in' so stop running, let your group catch up and healers refresh their wards and such, take the damage which should be minimal at that point and you'll be near the ramp going up. Target the other mob, get behind them (eg they are on ramp, you are closer to spawn spot), get him to 90%, run the other direction when stoneskin effect appears on mob, stop again the moment the 5 stack curse lands on you. You'll be over near spawn point, wait for other mob to get near you, then go around to their back again (now you'll be closer to ramp and they'll be back on spawn point). Get him down to 70%, rinse, repeat, 70% on other, 50%, 50%, 30%,30%, 10%, 10%, then kill.

Solusek Ro's Tower: The Obsidian Core [Heroic]- Tier 1

Named: Galremos
Strat: No idea.
He says something about only when your mana burns something something. He says stuff about your sun disc.
I killed adds then killed the name and res'ed through the deaths. Need more info.
Obsidian shards is a curse that shows as -1, and can only be cured by a priest that has mana burn on them. (The effect that continually gets added to you as you're in the zone that makes spells take from your HP instead of power) So, cure everybody in group EXCEPT 1 priest of mana burn, then use that 1 priest to cure curse on whoever has the incurable (-1 curse counter) curse on them during the fight. That stops the instant deaths.

Meanwhile, volatile constructs continually spawn and come to you - they have a timer, after so many seconds up they start to cast a self destruct, if that self destruct goes off then you get hit by a knockback and the named gets healed. Make sure (perhaps every 20 seconds or so) switch to constructs and kill them so none live long enough to start casting.

The dipping of sun discs doesn't appear to do anything. Perhaps it would if you took minutes and minutes to kill him and all 3 fires got going at the same time. If you want you can go click the fire effects that appear to 'dip' the disc in them, but it doesn't get rid of any increments on named, doesn't reduce dmg, etc.

That doesn't work for me....most are dead (crew) trying to catch up. TY for trying to help

Multicharacter: Thanks for this strat! It did work for me. A lot better than trying to set up for off-tank. I created two MCP buttons to turn sprint on and off, and found if I anticipated the buff on the mobs correctly in order to get max range during my run, that worked very well. Also used a templar and made sure Divine Waters and Equilibrium were up for use at end of run.

I got to a late start this expansion and just wrapped up all the quest lines. Running zones now. I am on Manaetic Behemoth but he keeps wiping group even when I am out of the red circles. I got an message that "Watchful gaze was allowed to expire on...". I cannot seem to figure what is causing it. Any thoughts?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I only use one healer and they were not keeping up on the cures, so I just re-enabled cure pots and it was cake!

they either enabled their mages to cure or had items in the caststack "Item: Arcane/Nox/Trauma Remedy" | Type = Cure" they turned on.

Exactly! I usually have cure pots disabled in my group's cast stack as my defiler can keep up cures without them. You can use the uplink controller to quickly toggle them on/off.

Anyone have any strats on Radiance? Do you really get banned from the instance if you do the /unworthy? Also, does your crew really need to die to get their pot back? We poked around a bit in there but didnt get the first named past 75% and have no idea how to stop increments on named or our crew.

Would love some hints on this as well, clearing every other zone in my sleep now, but can't get Cinder past 75%. I got a message around 80% stating that only a priest can hit him, (it seems to be a dps check to get it this far). After that, I'm at a loss.

It is a DPS check, and a hefty one at that.

If I remember correctly, the archetype that gets called out must tank him.

Having problems with last named in Gears. 1st problem is the increments, tank just isn't holding agro, I know that's on my end. my main problem is having crew get out of the circle, they lag behind me. any suggestions or help? They are on auto follow. even spamming 'come to me' isn't working

Kannkor, any more scripts soon? (last named in gears for one) I am sure it's easy for most. Not so much for a newbe

I've just made camp spot buttons for 3 of my toons (in my case, 2nd heals, coercer and bard) i run the group to each circle and hit each toons camp spot. Works well for me.

I have 3 MCP buttons for the 3+ circle stage. Just add in your toon names and the ones you want in circles. Takes a few mins to set up, but saves lots of time

Kannkor's zone rating: A or C.
The ease of the named and the zone is an A, the ice is annoying enough to me to drop it to a C. How much do you hate the ice?
The ice section is annoying. I find training across it as much as possible and fighting on it the least amount possible is best. When you need to fight on it, do a 'no move' so people stop trying to re-adjust.

Resolve: 378 (As per the buff)

Named: Gatekeeper Karatil
Strat: Tank and spank.

Named: Inquisitor Barol
Strat: He says to power drain him, so I did. Otherwise Tank and spank.

Named: Gatekeeper Karatil
Strat: Same as solo. In on white, out on red.

Named: Keeper of Past Lore
Tank and spank.

Named: Gaukr Sandstorm
Blinds and ports people (quite slowly) around the room. Just campspot and burn him.
The keeper of past lore in expert has more hp so can’t burn as fast. If you get a curse and it’s not cured group goes boom. Does anyone know if the curse is health based so get curse wait for cure to come back up or is it time based. I run only one healer.

Anybody done Shard of Hate yet? I tried the solo, killed all the trash mobs, didn't really get nameds though. Tried some things like clicking the torches, it spawned mobs, I clicked to 'drain the blood pool', but again no named or anything happened. Tried going around and clicking the musical notes I saw, no named spawned from it. The only thing that even seems like a named was K'lorn at the start, starts as nonattackable, and the dialogue says something that sounds like a 'let's fight' but he stays nonattackable too. Edit: Guess I had a bugged instance, reran it again and this time was able to spawn some named doing nothing different from what I'd done the first time.

I need to get these documented, but there are set ups for all the trash, and the first named in Ogre now. It says "engaging" but it doesn't actually run in, you have to do that... but it's on my list of things to do.

When this is the case, use uplink and just tick then untick grind options for that fight. They'll not use the script.

Just remember to tick it again after

Almost all heroic/raid code works this way. Most set ups don't really "do" anything, other than put you in a general placement. Most of the "do stuff" happens based on events happening in game. As Cheesy mentioned, these can all be globally turned off via the unchecking Grind Options. Which I may rename to Heroic Options actually.

That cleared it up for me thanks. I have only really noticed this on a couple of the scripts and this one was the most notable. :)

For the sound question, don't know about an mcp button, I just have eq2ex MASTER_VOLUME 0 on all sessions under load apart from tank.
