Probably not ISX though i though i would ask anyhow

In the last 2 days i have had 1 character crashing after character select screen and dumping me back to Win7.

Just asking in case someone else has hit this error before , as i said i dont think it's ISX related but it does have something weird in the problems.

Scenerio is.
I have 1 character that crashes 100% of the time after loading Sony with Innerspace
All other characters on the account are fine using ISXeq2

All characters including the one crashing will work if i use the Sony's Everquest.exe.

I have tried the above on another sperate computer ( not a copy over from the 1st computer ) and the same thing happens exactly as above.

I have downloaded another copy from the repository just in case am's everquest .exe got corrupted on my computer and the same as above happens.


As i said i don't think it is ISX related but it just has me stumped, i was hoping someone else had a similar experence and fixed it.

When you load Everquest2 through Innerspace, you log in, get to the character select screen and the following happens.
One: Crashes to destkop
Two: Logs in fine
Three: Logs in fine

This happens on multiple computers.

Very interesting, I know I personally avoid the character select screen because I've had crashes there. Have you tried a login scene (or automatic login scripts) to avoid the character select screen?

IE: profit where it has your character/server slots?

Completly correct mate, ill try and autologin through profit and see what happens, initially i thought it was just glitch but when it went over a few days i started getting concerned.

BTW just to clear that off the list i zoned using "real" EQ as well and crashed number 1 in 2 different zones.

i been having problems lately for about 2 weeks now that i posted to lax at his forums about every single time i alt tab out of the game to do something when i maximize the game back the mouse and keyboard stop responding and ill have to close the game out and reopen.. also when this happens i also when i try to maximize teh window it wont show me the window just the out line and crashes.. this happens across all of my machines ever since the new rework off innerspace it seems and yes i tried dev and none dev innerspace same thing..

I'd first try deleting the cache folder and logs folder (if you use logs), then renaming the UI files for that particular character (that way you can change the name back if it doesn't fix the problem). The last GU I had horrible crash problems with 1 character in particular, but not others. At first I thought it was ISXEQ2 having a problem with something in that particular character's class file, but it apparently turned out to be EQ2 because the crashes stopped when I turned on 'Hide illusions'.

On a side note - that account got suspended for speed hacking (even though I have never touched anything related to speed hacking, only use ISXEQ2, and even then I turn off the benefits like water breathing) and they claimed it happened on that EXACT same character. I have to believe there was just something altogether wrong with that character.

Are you auto-loading isxeq2?
