All I am asking is for everyone who is using this program and other scripts. To stop selling belts and cloaks for a while. It is getting to the point where it is causing enough problems and DBG may start banning. Stick to farming shinies in instances for a while.

Thanks for the consideration

That's the same person that was posting on the official forums and then posts were getting deleted.

On the official forums there is a guy going around posting about ISXEQ2, and Innerspace EVERYWHERE. Every time a server crashes he's right there blaming ISXEQ2 (and I think we all know, ISXEQ2 doesn't crash servers, even a developer chimed in once that unofficial UIs that pull down certain information fields cause more server strain than most other things.) He constantly mentions ISXEQ2 and Innerspace directly by name.

Coincidentally the guy started posting at the same time as nergalisafreeportscrub, the same time as the reddit guy, and here is one of his posts:

'Ive been botting this game since 2010 I can tell you every single bot person who bots on Freeport and AB im friends with them all and know what program they use.. ive quit when I heard Sony sold To DB now I don't give a care if they all get banned or not... if any gms want to know there names, guild and each toon they play send me an inbox message.... this game is done anyway im just digging the sword a little deeper'; followed up with another post that says: 'I single handedly made kronos go from 600p to over 3000p, Long live your God, Gixx'

Basically - we all know it's BS - ISXEQ2 isn't crashing any servers, he probably got banned and he's bitter about it or he's a duper. It simply doesn't make sense that it isn't 'worth his time' to play the game anymore, yet it is 'worth his time' to go around trying his best to get ISXEQ2 shut down. If he's a duper then taking out bots is simply 'taking care of the competition'. His tactics seem to be - make people angry, rile them up, make them think every problem the game has is the fault of bots, and then out and out tell them it's all ISXEQ2's fault. I don't know if he'll have any success getting others angry and upset, but he seems to be eager to report people himself - so that alone will cause problems if you have ever talked to him before.

Someone told me that the script doing the rounds for CHH raids (not the Ogre ones released recently) were causing ungodly server lag. I stopped using my it as apparently it was "drawing attention", no idea how true that is but didn't want to risk anything.

Not related to the drama, but I'll be releasing my encounter scripting for those zones this weekend.

They certainly weren't making the situation any better. They were spamming the server with requests. Most were run per-frame, so at 30 frames per second, they were sending 30 requests per second, * # of people in the raid.
So if you had 12 toons, that was 360 requests per second, for the entire duration of the fight.

Hmm, Maybe it would be a good idea for someone to make a stickied post with information on what Data Types, TLO's, Members, ETC to avoid that do direct server calls and maybe alternate ways to get the information without spamming the server. Could help a lot of the newbie scripters and the community in general.

On a sorta related note, I have been farming epic trash for my alts or mute fodder (not SLR) and I can't help but notice how much harder the mobs hit in pools than they do in the pirate zone. I was playing a badly-geared monk the first time so I tried a raid geared bruiser next and both got clobbered by those trash mobs. In my actual raids with people (hehe) my zerker can tank them easily, is there that much difference between the classes or do those mobs just do more damage and you need raid buffs to survive them?

Trash in pools have some stacking detriment that makes them hurt significantly more. It's only the lizard man mobs (sorry don't recall their actual names) once you get beyond them down the ramps the dino trash seems about the same as any of the trash in the other zones and don't hurt much at all. Avoid the baby however unless you feel like spending half an hour more or less depending on your dps. He has an ungodly amount of hp. He is none agro so just don't touch him.

The way he posts, the grammatical errors that are all the same, the same misspelled words. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know who this guy is. I will leave that to others who are smarter than me to connect the dots however. Though I am pretty sure anyone whose been paying attention has seen his posts in these forums as well. Thinks he's smarter than everyone but really not that sharp.

I don't want to bump that thread on reddit -- but, if I were to reply, this is basically what I would say:

Let me create a new nightmare for the OP that he most likely never considered: imagine if ISXEQ2 were open source.

These evil boxers/botters, as you describe them, are kept in check due to the fact that the software they're using is tightly controlled with very limited features. I mean, are you even aware that there are limitations in place so that it cannot be used for contested Avatars? And, that's not all that's limited to ensure that your game experience is not compromised: the list of things that could be possible with ISXEQ2 would blow your mind.

Anyway, most intelligent people (players and game staff) realized this notion 10 years ago. Sometimes it's better to deal with something you dislike, but that you know; rather than gambling on something even worse popping up later. (A concept the West should have considered more carefully before mucking everything up in the Middle East...)

Also, to be clear, I pay taxes on everything. In fact, I probably pay a greater tax percentage than most anyone else just because I insist on everything being above board. And, his bit about business licenses is hysterical: business licenses are the domain of local governments and my small town actually requires that home-based businesses NOT post any signs or anything related to said business. So, neither Paypal, the IRS, the federal government, nor my state government cares about business licenses.

Anyway, his whole rant is silly because it's clear that SOE/DBG has never been really interested in stopping the botting/boxing community...at least, those that do it responsibly. If they were, they would have contacted me years ago and/or put in something like Warden, GameGuard, or Punkbuster. The fact is that revenue is revenue -- and, generally speaking, botters/boxers rarely do anything that affects other players. Moreover, it's a REALLY OLD game -- it's time to just let people enjoy it as they want to enjoy it: I don't foresee there being an influx of new players for ANY reason, whether it be new content or some sort of anti-boxer/botter crusade.

----
And, with that, it's time to end this discussion. It has been off-topic from the start, and everyone has had a chance to speak.
