trojan?!

suddenly out of nowhere symantec flagged isxeq2.exe as a trojan.adh and deleted it. wtf? anyone else have this happen? I konw I can set and exception in symantec but its odd that isxeq2 is suddenly listed as a trojan.

This has been discussed many, many times here on these forums.

It's not a virus. If you'd like to know some of the reasons why it flags it, do a search on this very forum.

I wasnt concerned that it *was* a virus. I guess that was more of a "hey this is odd" post. sry for not searching.

Odd though cause both NIS and SEP (Symantec's commercial and enterprise solutions) have been updated for awhile for not pulling a false-positive on the DLL or EXE

Have you updated your AV definitions latetly?

It appears as though Symantec, in particular, has decided to start flagging my 'installer files' as bad. I've updated them on the website and I'll be contacting them to see about removing the false positives as quickly as I can.

Actually for me this is a very big problem as I have a new PC I'm trying to install this on and I cant download the .exe file from the aqusitions page even when I turn off Norton AV and Norton Firewall. Some portion of Norton Internet Security is still running and blocking the website as malicious code. Norton had already deleted the old .exe file last week after an update, so now I'm SoL.

I got an email from Symantec saying this was all fixed, but evidentally it was not. It happens to me as well (using Norton Internet Security); however, it doesn't flag the file if it's already on your computer. It just doesn't like downloading it from my website.
