Watch for rifts opening throughout telon .. these rifts will take you over to the game www.riftgames.com . They are in alpha now and several of us are in beta coming up and we should be in soonish. This is dx9based so we are good with IS. I would love to help someone work on isx calls to the game.. but i am goign to have to get my hand held a bit to get down the right road. If any experienced isx developer wants to help me get started. I am sure we can work out a fair reimbursement. PM me if you would be willing to see some training time to me.

thanks

It has been my experience (i.e., Vanguard) that it's better to wait for 6 months+ before spending a lot of time on doing ISX for a game.

I see nothing about Rift that makes it seem any better than any of the other MMOs that came out fairly recently and/or those which have been out for years.

I think you posted in the wrong forum too ;)

(Also, http://www.riftgames.com/ comes up with an error right now as I'm trying it...as though the page doesn't exist and/or the site is down. Not a good sign...)

this is from the makers of the original everquest content from what i've heard. bound to be buggy as sin for the first year, and every week after a major patch

Aren't all MMOs? ;)

Has to be a good thing that the original EQ devs are on this.

It's not a bad game, it's just 4 years too late. In other words, there really isn't anything new in it (it steals every game mechanic in it from other mmos) and the graphics look a bit dated.

I predict that it will be on fire for a few months (since there is really nothing else for people to play right now that are bored with their current games); however, I feel that will die away when something else better comes long. I don't think it will have the long-term draw that some other high profile mmos have had.

Anyway, I think it's worth the price ...but I don't think it's the "next big thing". We'll see about an isx extension. My initial thought was to perhaps see if someone else does it ...then I would just write a second extension that would do all the things they couldn't figure out ..lol.

I agree that it is nothing new feature wise but that said I have enjoyed the beta's and plan on picking up the game. It is nice to go adventuring in a new world/environment. I have had a good time with the rifts and multiple toon builds.

If anyone does make an extension be sure to post as I would be interested in it. The one for Vanguard kicked ass and allowed me to two box the hell out of that game.

I am still on the fence with my 5 EQ2 accounts (expac) vs. Rift... If an extension/ISXRift is built, it would be a no-brainer.

It would be great if isxgames had a working bot for RIFT. I think Rift will be around for a long. It doesn't bring anything really new to the mmo table but its very polished in its current state, and extremely fun to play. the ISBoxer works great with it.

Great game... been having a blast playing it. If you pre-order you have access to the game servers right now!

My entire VG guild moved to this game, it's a nice change of pace.

Rift is a wow clone. In other words, you don't really need anything other than isboxer to bot it honestly. It's a pretty easy game.

We'll see how things go over the next few months. I will consider looking into something if the game remains popular and/or if no one else does an extension. I may also look into releasing a supplementary extension if someone else releases something and I want to offer a particular feature or set of features that they have not made available.

Also, I have a feeling Trion will not be as forgiving for "True" bots as SOE has been, and I'm not in the mood to fight that battle right now. I'd rather wait until the newness wears off and Trion is not riding the wave of uber success looking for people to ban.

Either way, you all reading the forums will be the first ones to know if I decide to do something. Talking about it will not alter my thinking on the subject, nor will it magically an extension appear. This is the final answer for now.
