Defiler script funky

OK up till about 1-2 weeks ago it seem to me that the defiler script was working perfectly, except sometimes instead of healing he would cast his opet if it died, (two boxing with a melee).

Now even tho i have cast offesnive spells checked he will not cast them, he will no longer debuff mobs either or send the pet in to attack OR even engage in melee. Nor will he cast group ward or single ward.. Doesnt even fear mobs when he gets aggro,(sorta glad there)

What he does do, cast cures, single target heal x2. He will also use the aa line emergency ward heal.

What i have tried.. I deleted my char config , On the advice of a friend i updated off the svn (which i didnt do before. Prior to that step I re DL'd the script in this thread.

I havent changed anything prior to the script no longer working, so any advice would be appreciated and sorry if i posted this is the wrong area. I will be unable to reply for a few days, but will check the board when back in town.

It sounds very much to me like the options in the 2nd tab of eq2bot are set to such a way that you are ignoring the mob on the MT based upon dificulty or color.

For example, you're fighting heroics, but you have Ignore Heroic checked. Or you have ignore yellow checked, and you're fighting a yellow mob.

The bot will heal group members regardless of the options set in the bot, as its designed to check heals even when not in combat. However, it will not engage a target that you have precluded via the options.


If you're options are correct, I would wager your character xml file is borked. Delete your character file from the character sub folder and recreate all the options.

I'm running the defiler from the SVN with both versions of eq2bot located there and am not having any issues (aside from xp64 ui bug I've reported to lax).

Try these suggestions out and let me know if it resolves the issue.

Yeah, those are options in the experimental release, and until your classfile is updated to use both MA and MT, you should always set them the same.

Currently I've only updated Fury in the experimental directory with these changes, as we're still hashing a few things out.
