ISXEQ2 help

I am having truble loading ISXEQ2. When I try and load the program for the first time i enter my password and type ext isxeq2 it give me the message

"Your version if EverQuest2.exe dose not match this build of ISXEQ2.
The version that you need was the first executable patched on December 12, 2007."

I have unloaded and reloaded the program 4 times and every time it says the same thing. Please if anyone can give me some help i would greatly appreciate it.

That means you would need to go here http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/ and get the Dec 11th Everquest2.exe file
wich is http://isxeq2.twonk.net/binaries/autoupdated/200712110709-EverQuest2.exe.zip

Delete your current Everquest2.exe and use this one. Dont patch unless the game makes you!

try the one for the 12th not 11th. I had same issue and msg initially and the 12th is the version i grabbed.

I recommend editing your eq2 icon to also point at everquest2.exe rather than eq2.exe so you dont accidently patch it. (old habits can be hard to break)

also make sure innerspace is running everquest2.exe not the eq2.exe

thank you for the info the one for the 12 loaded but I have to wait till the sever comes back up to see if I can login with that .exe file

The error message says "december 12" and it also gives the URL for where you can download it. Why would someone say to get the one from december 11?

Then you fail at life.

Providing you have the everquest2.exe from 12/12/2007 downloaded from the archives at twonk, then it will not unload.

If you downloaded the right one, then you failed to place it in the right directory or some other issue. Or you replaced it, ran the patcher and overwrote it, or something of the ilk.

yes I ran the patcher. I had to because for some reason when i take my bot into RoK and try to fly to Terance grasp it dose not render at the top of the mountain and i fall threw the world and get place back at the docks.

If you run the patcher isx will not work. Thats described in detail in the setup instructions and in numerous posts on this website.

The render crash is a known eq2 bug and has little to do with isxeq2. Turning your graphic settings below ballanced for that journey prevents the render crash. It's a sucky fix, but it's SoE's bug.

Ok,

I was having the same problem.

How do you disable the auto patcher for EQ?

I've changed the shorcut to Everquest2.exe rather then eq2.exe however it still autopatched.

Eq2.exe is the patcher, everquest2.exe is the game, if you have correctly changed the shortcut the patcher will not run. Check your shortcut and make sure it is correct.

Thanks.

I had it set to Everquest II rather then everquest2. I aslo renamed eq2.exe just to be sure it wouldn't attempt to run it.

you must still be running eq2.exe , everquest.exe does not patch....

Yep that was my problem.

Just a note. If you follow the install and setup step by step, you don't get the information regarding patcher and EQ2/EQ II becuase it is listed on the step after you need to know it.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the crafting script running...

doublecheck your shortcut, everquest2.exe is how you load without launchpad (patcher).
