For the life of me I can't seem to fix this one problem. I just want the bot to craft all the work orders I have none stop.

I will do all the running around.

It launches the recipe window then says it "cant target the crafting table"
It does this after crafting each item. I have to pick the recipe each time then it works fine.

I get the feeling im overlooking somthing simple here.

Thanks in advance for any feedback. And thanks to the powers that be... this is a fantasic system.

Agnott, did you get a fix for this as i am having the exact same problems and i want to do exactly the same as you do.. Totally new to this only got it yesterday and i have to keep clicking on the crafting station to start up the w/o

Be sure you have the proper station selected and recipe type. i.e. finishing/refining. The only time i used to get this was if I was trying to do finishing recipes, but had refining checked or refining station selected on accident. In other words, even if your not doing full auto bot. You have to have your proper finishing and refining option selected depending on what you are doing.

Is it possible (through a script change, if I must) to have the bot choose a specific crafting station, when multiple stations of the same type are nearby?

My station of choice, along with all the relevant NPCs, are inside a single building. However, there's another identical station just outside the building, and if the taskmaster wanders near the wall, my character will beeline for the outside station and run into the wall until I stop him.

If it makes a difference, I avoided that side of the building as much as I could when creating the map.

I dont know if this has been said before, but an idea for grinding just xp from WOs could be a feature where you get a batch that gives alot of xp. Lets say some of the WOs your grinding only gives 4K xp, but then you find one that gives 8K.

So now what you do is type in the name of that WO in VGcraftbot and you only get that one, then go complete it BUT you dont turn it in. You abandon it and just get the WO again, that way you can keep on getting 8K per completion.

So essentially what you do is
Type in the name of the WO that gives most xp > Do the WO > Abandon it > Get it again and repeat.

This is just for grindin XP though, you wont get any rewards or anything but I think it would be handy.

Additional (easy?) features to add.

First off, nice script out of box and well done.

Just a couple requests I suppose,

1. Be able to buy extra ingredients as listed (optionals) for problem resolution

and

2. Avoid getting rid of "good" complications like Flawless Work, which are actually beneficial.

Beyond that the script seems to work great, there are a few quality vs. progress issues in the T5 but they seem to be getting resolved.

1. You can already do this. Just enter the ingredient name into the extra ingredients section. There are not enough table slots to be able to have all possible problem solving utilities.

2. I have never seen it remove good comps. Good (green) comps only last 2 turns, which is why it may look as if the program is removing them.

yup. IIRC at lvl 50 you'll be able to specify up to 5 extra items for WOs (2 required + 5 extra for comps). It'd be nice if we could put something like "buy solvent unless it's already required" since some WOs use it as fuel but it's also used for some comp clearing actions.

Is there any way to make it so that your bot actually follows the path that you created when moving back and forth between stations and NPCs? It seems like once it targets a npc it stops following the path and runs straight to that NPC. Which ends up getting stuck in the side of objects.

Any way to do that? I would much rather have my bot follow the path that I created to the NPCs besides running straight at them and getting stuck once it targets them.

Lower the path precision value. I think 80 is the minimum, and that works fine for me. Also, if possible, make your paths so that you give any obstacles as wide a berth as you can.

That's not what he is talking about, Path precision won't change his problem. We all have this problem. It won't be fixed till cyber releases new nav code and xeon updates this bot.

If you are using soo much solvent that you do not have enough to finish the recipe & remove complications, you are doing something wrong. I never have this problem and never run out of ingredients.

I have. You can probably force it by taking a hard work order and taking off a piece or two or +utility gear.

Then perhaps the problem needs to be explained better because the problem as described is kind of just by design. The only issue I've run into in all my testing is if the taskmaster happens to be moving when it requests a path from the navigation system. Even in this scenario, I believe the system keeps recalculating the path as it traverses it, so the only real issue is when the bot thinks it's at the closest point to the taskmaster, but in truth they (the taskmasters) are still moving away from you and it's 'possible' that if they are about to go through a door or turn a corner around a box that the bot would then try to run through it. It's a very rare scenerio for me. (I've contemplated putting in code to wait for the taskmaster to stop moving before pathing to them, but just haven't bothered since Xeon keeps saying a new version is around the corner.) Otherwise the changes I've outlined in the lavishnav for vgcb thread have solved all of my issues with pathing as of the .99999 (? on number of 9's) release.

I wonder if part of the issue is people still not understanding how the current pathing system works. It's really not a path ever since lavishnav was implemented. It's a mesh of boxes and if the taskmaster doesn't fall directly within one of those boxes it's going to go to the closest one and then make a b-line to them. Make sure you have as much ground that the taskmaster wanders covered by your mapping system as possible.

If all you ever want it to do is go to a certain spot and then wait for the taskmaster to return to that spot, then that's a feature that would need to be added.

Can you give me a little clearer idea of exactly what the problem, since 'all' of us are having it? If it's not too much to fix it, I might do it.

WO Issue

I believe i hae found a small issue with the WO code.

The bot seems unable to complete a WO called 'Pyrite Fasteners.' It does not attempt to start the WO and simply abandons it next time it visits a taskmaster.

I think the reason behind this is to do with the fact that I have a normal recipe by the same name.

Hopefully this should be a small fix but an important one since it makes it harder to get batch WO's if you need to complete singles and sets.

This is the only issue I have ever had with this tool. It's excellent.

I'm having a couple of issues at the moment...

Sometimes, seemingly at random, the bot only picks up 1 w/o at a time. It does the set or batch, and returns and gets more. If I pause it, and pick up more on my own, it will only do one of each of the new batchs and then turn in.

Other times it picks up three at a time and everything is working fine.

Second (for some reason I've been having this more often lately) the bot navigates to the taskmaster, stops, and seemingly trys to interact with the taskmaster - all while the taskmaster is moving. The taskmaster gets out of range, and the bot sits there complaining it can't find a path to the taskmaster, when there is a clear path to him. If I pause the bot, move the toon slightly and turn it back on it will resume fine but it's an annoyance.

Third, and I've mentioned this before, but I've often been watching the bot, it will be on the last step, I'll have enough action points for two more actions which would more than finish the work order and get to the finishing step when a complication hits. Instead of just finishing it, the bot tries to fix the complication, using up my action points and then failing the work order.

---

Not that I'm criticizing your work at all, I think this is an incredible little bot, but I'm sure you'd rather hear about the problems than all the things which it does right (which are plenty).

When the bot is targetting a NPC or station it runs straight to it besides going along the path. It targets and runs straight to them from like 30 meters away, so besides following the path to get to that NPC area it will run straight to it. Thus getting stuck in whatever objects are in the way.

Best fix I can think of for this is make it so that you can set the max targetting distance of a npc before the bot runs straight to it. That way it can continue along the path without running into buildings as the bot tries to get to the NPC.

Have you implemented all the changes I outlined in the lavishnav for vgcb thread? This sounds like this problem...
http://www.isxgames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7078&postcount=63

On another note, do you have debugging turned on? What does it say when this happens? If it says 'Found a path in 0 hops' or something like that then it's not really finding a path. The # of hops should always be >0 unless your standing right next to the taskmaster. If the taskmaster is 30feet away and it's returning 0 hops then your map file has something wrong with it or it's not covering all the areas the TM goes. If it's saying 'in region quick hop' then it's most likely the problem outlined above.

Are you sure there are work orders available that meet your criteria? Remember that your options of difficulty and wo preference are 'AND'd. What are your difficulty and WO preferences?

If it's trying to interact with the TM while it's moving this does occasionally cause problems, however in my experience the bot should sit there and when the TM returns along it's path near the player it should resume. Supposedly there is a new version coming around the corner with improved nav, etc. I'll try to do small fixes until that time on nav issues, but since the bot will continue once the TM comes back along their path, I don't see this as a huge issue. Besides it makes it look like you walked away to get a pop (soda for all the PA people) or something. :)

Can't help ya here. I started digging into the crafting logic once and quickly said f-it, it's good enough. The crafting logic is a bear in and of itself.

lol, yeah, if I was Xeon, I'd want to know how shitty my product was rather than how good it was. ;) I'm just kidding misagh, I know what you mean.

And yes, Xeon, your bot kicks ass!

What are some good settings for T5? I either fail a lot, or don't get the quality it is capable of.

Currently, it's at:

Do moderate work orders, singles sets and batches.
Progress slider is at 25, min quality at 35, max at 75. extra quality prefers tools.

Moderates become increasingly difficult as you progress into T5 because it gradually becomes impossible to max out your EE (finding any gear at all is an issue, too). For T5, I just did easy orders and went for A grade.

Hello. I'm having the same issue with vgcrafthelper as well. The bot loads but the bot interface window looks like the this...

I'm using the EQ2 UI if that matters.

Delete your Interface/VGSkin.xml file

Make sure to unload the ISXVG extension first (ext -unload isxvg)

VGCraftBot updates from 9997 to 9999 everytime I load it but, never actually starts, updates closes, tells me to restart, updates the same files over and over again

thoughts?

Nope, I'm still waiting on some bug fixes from CyberTech for the new map/nav code

When using the craft item option... the recipes are not loading with todays patch.

for full bot mode it just goes back and forth to the forge and WO npc dropping and adding wo's

trying the vgcraftbot. when doing WO's it will gather the WO, go to the station, then go back to the WO giver and repeat that process without actually gathering any WO's.

This all started after the new patch today :(

Yup, the latest patch has broken WO's for us.

17:13:02::VG: Trying to Complete WO: Batch of Limestone Holy Symbols
17:13:03::VG: Abandoned WO: Batch of Limestone Holy Symbols
17:13:04::VG: Trying to Complete WO: Batch of Knotted Hardwood Wardrobes
17:13:04::VG: Abandoned WO: Batch of Knotted Hardwood Wardrobes
17:13:05::VG: Trying to Complete WO: Batch of Chipped Limestone Whetstones
17:13:06::VG: Abandoned WO: Batch of Chipped Limestone Whetstones

Happened after I updated isxvg and tried to run vgcraftbot... here's another snippet from my output log:

17:13:16::VG: (78):() :: Select the recipe you wish to use.
17:13:16::VG: Called SupplyNeeded
17:13:16::VG: StationRecipeSelect called: 3 :: 0
17:13:17::VG:SRS: No Work Order recipes found
17:13:17::VG: No usable recipes found!

Basically, it vgcb gets the WO's fine, walks back to the table fine, can't find the WO's in the list so it abandons and gets new ones. =/ You can select them manually, so they do exist.
Help!

I seem to be having no problems with work orders.

Also, if it makes any difference, utilities that are bought from the NPC vendor now go automatically into your utility pouch, so the bot code that does it is not needed any more.

I haven't had a chance to test this yet, however when you open a supply pack you now get a loot window instead of instant loot. Not sure if this will effect how the bot works but just a heads up.

confirmed, it does effect the bot, I ate a couple of bags before I realized it.

Wouldn't just telling it to not open supply packs work for now? Then open them manually every now and then or when you go away, since you're not fully afk botting right? :)

Another issue, it seems at the end of a workorder I will crash, not sure how related this is, but prior to patch I crashed maybe 1 time in 9 days straight of VG running...

Also, the bags thing is definitely a change....going to have to do an open and /lootall on them now

edit: I can confirm in window or fullscreen I've crashed 12/12 times on the end of a work order set now every single time, don't know why this is either. craftingbot is losing it's mind on supply packs as well.

no, not fully afk botting, but sometimes VG stays minimized for hours while I play something else :)

vgcraftbot crashes? or VG itself crashes? Are you guys using custom UI's? Any style work orders or a paticular lvl? I have absolutely no problems with vgcraftbot. I have whipped out 67 wo's.

Patched innerspace, patched game, patched brain, etc.

Drox is custom UI, but as stated, never crashed prior to this for days on end, VG itself takes a dive, but typically only on the ending of a series of workorders (when they need to turn in to taskmaster)

are you using DroxUI ver 2.1? That is what I am currently using. Just asking because there were UI changes that may or may not have a diff on what is going on.

Ya im now getting the crashing but its during the crafting proccess. Seems to be random I do some wo's just fine then sometimes it crashes with this. Wonder it its related to a complication cause I think a complication comes up just as it crashes.

Anyway this is what Vista is reporting.

Noticed soemthing new on crafting.
WHen you open your Supply Pack/Kit/Bag WO Rewards, it now has the Loot Window.
Not sure if its just me, but some of the Loot is not Autolooted now :(

I think it may be missing the /lootall command after you open the reward bags as it was not needed before pre-patch today.

PS:
I have also been crashing alot since todays patch.
Was not having any issues prior and also using DroxUI latest version.

Oddly enough it seems like it is happening on the 3rd workorder consistently for me for some reason...had quite a few friends report the same thing

is anyone seeing this just on the 3rd work order or sooner/later than that?

edit: on that note, would it be possible to set how many work orders you get at a time?

I noticed the same exact thing and lost out on a heroic needle because of it canceling out the loot window on the last bag. Seems to only happen on the last bag it needs to open after doing batches

This seems to be a problem with Innerspace cause I crash with Kbot, and the two crafting scripts. So its not limited to just one script.

I confirm. Very unstable with all scripts. Kbot, vgcrafthelper, vgcraftbot and even Radar..

And the since the yesterday patch. Actually, i can't use isxvg because after 2 minutes the game crash..

Please help us to find a solution ;)

Two problems that I have gotten over the past day..... when you try to use the recipe section to make one item over and over again, the drop down control is blank, it does not contain any recipes. The second problem is that it will not craft a WO, it gets 3, goes to crafting station, goes back to WO NPC, abandons those three and gets three more... this continually loops never even attempting to craft an item.

Both those problems are also listed on the VGCraftHelper feedback thread also, so it is with both scripts.

Yes , I think the problem may be not with scripts for one of the underlying programs , wether it's with ISXVG or Inner Space I don't know...

I left vanguard running doing nothing with ISXVG etc running and came back to a crashed game and a frozen screen.

*UPDATE* : Amadaeus very quickly *cheer* Updated ISXVG and it's all working fine again now.

Exit the game, Exit Innespace, restart innerspace and let it patch, then run game and start craftbot. This worked for me at 6am eastern this morning, getting rid of all the problems that I had. Now I have had the crash problem for a long time, and will continue to hae it until I fix my machiine. From other CTD people I have heard you can try turning off autoplay and putting the character select option on the default selection, not on any characters. These are both on the patch window of Vanguard.

Hope this helps some!

Endless recipe loop

It seems that the lines

Code:
	if ${doRecipeOnly}
		recipeRepeatNumDone:Inc
that increases the counter of how many recipes has been finished when doing non-WO recipes has been moved from function DoLoot() to the CS_ORDER_DONE branch in the STATE TREE switch statements. (Did a diff of version 0.9999 and version 0.99992 of VGCraftBot.iss).

This change has the effect that the bot will just keep doing the selected recipe regardless of what number has been entered in the UI. When I move the lines back to the old position it works fine for recipes at least, haven't tested any WO's yet.

Looks like some of the new dev code crept into that release.

If you are having problems adding doors or your map is not saving, you'll need to force an update:

run vgcraftbot 1

Notice the 1 at the end....

EDIT: Also fixed the above, thanks Zamu!

I've been using VGCraftBot for about a week now and its an awesome program. I do have a few questions though that could have been answered, and I looked through about 15 pages of posts on this thread but they for the most part seem to be bugs that have been fixed at this point.

1 - Tips for getting work orders to finish correctly :)
There are times where it will go through 100 WO's and fail just a few, then other times where it will go and fail 50% of them. no matter the difficulty.

I tend to do moderate and easy WO's here are my settings that seem to be working good right now

Prog ratio 23

Easy
Min quality - 641
Max quality - 834

Moderate
Min quality - 551
Max quality - 758

Now with these settings as of now I have not failed any WO's but the moderate seem to either fail or get a D which gives no XP.

I have changed the moderate around but nothing seems to work consistently

It would be nice to tell it try to finish with a certain level. or finish with a certain level or not to finish at all. for instance when making bricks it would be nice to finish at A or nothing at all and Moderate WO's to finish at C or higher

obviously complications can change the grade if they pop up but

is there some type of chart around that shows what the min/max quality bars actually stand for? Or perhaps you could color code the quality meters to show the grade it would be if picking that.

eh thats kinda out of order with questions thrown in there :( but I'm sure you guys get my point :)
